Advanced Placement Incentive

$15 million in FY 2000 $20 million requested in FY 2001 Enables states to reimburse part or all of the cost of Advanced Placement test fees for lowincome individuals who are enrolled in an AP class or plan to take an AP test and provides for the development of activities directly related to increasing: (1) the enrollment of low-income individuals in AP courses; (2) the participation of low-income individuals in AP tests; and (3) the availability of AP courses in schools serving high-poverty areas.
