treated similarly to categorical interns, not relegated to pt. ward; I first assisted on more than 100 surgeries; i liked the collegial environment; one challenge though is don’t get as much basic medicine knowledge because of busy hrs but the pro is that you are greatly ahead in OR and surgical environment which helps with understanding of what is going on on the other side of Comments by previous interns the ether screen

busy academic program affiliated with both Dartmouth Med School and UCSF so lots of students around. excellent icu; 2 mths of MICU with very sick tertiary/quaternary care (transplant, stroke, major referral center for Northern Cal for all complicated medicine). Learn to become independent clinician. Great people there. Happy residents (cameraderie 9.2/10 and satisfaction with CPMC 9.1/10). Plenty of procedures; Pleasant work environment-people get along well here (community hospital mentality ) Great city/tons to do. 14 8
