A rational algebraic expression (or rational expression) is an algebraic expression that can be written as a quotient of polynomials, such as x2 + 2x + 4. An irrational algebraic expression is one that is not rational, such as √x + 4.

Gdawg is a teacher at a Dallas, TX, inner city high school This channel has over 300 videos showing the teachings of different concepts and techniques of secondary mathematics. Topic are mostly on Algebra through Calculus. One distinctive feature of this channel is that there are several videos that use music with graphics to teach Algebra and other concepts.

This series of videos goes through all 10 TAKS Math objectives, one video for each objective. The viewer may stop, work out the problem, then play on to see if his/her solution is correct. There are approximately 80 problems total on all the videos. The use of the graphing calculator to solve or check is also demonstrated. Test taking strategies and error analysis are also shown.
