Summer has arrived and grilling season is here, but don't fire up the grill until you're sure it's safe! Grilling mishaps can cause serious damage to a home. ln the U.S. last year an average of 1,500 building fires and 4,800 outdoor fires were caused by gas and charcoal grills. Whether you use a gas, charcoal or propane grill, here are some general precautions you should take:

1.

2. 3.

Start out the season with a clean grill and make sure there is no grease build-up which can result in a dangerous fire. Station your grill at least 10 feet away from your home. Do not place your grill on any balcony, terrace or roof. When lighting your grill, stand back and keep the cover open. This is especially important when it comes to gas grills to prevent an explosion from gas build-up.

Safe grilling will ensure an enjoyable barbeque with friends and family. Visit the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) website for more tips on grilling safety.

Able Restoration Teams Up with Whitman Fire
We are proud to announce the completion of the new Whitman Fire CERT vehicle. This spring, Fallon Ambulance donated an ambulance to the Whitman Fire Department to be used with the rescue division, which has in turn provided the fire and rescue community with a great new emergency response resource. We outfitted the vehicle with graphics as well as provided a donation of bottled water to keep the vehicle fully stocked.

"lt is no surprise to us that Able Restoration has come to bat to aid the local fire service community," said Lt. Robert Hover of Whitman Fire and Rescue. "We all know how a fire can affect our community and how it can be a personal disaster for our residents. Thank you for all you have
done to support our efforts."

We look forward to continuing to support and aid local communities and families.

The Mandarin, nearly four months away from its grand opening, was devastated by fire. The hotel suffered $50 million worth of damage. We were called in to aid in the clean up and restoration of the hotel" Our skilled technicians arrived on-site within one hour of receiving the call. Our immediate tasks included gutting and ice blasting the entire 30,000 square foot fourth floor. Extensive water damage required ridding the building of water and high-speed, interior drying. Our biggest challenge
