Our activities include investigating questionable claims, reporting illegal marketing, improving the quality of health information on the Internet, etc. Society for the Prevention of� Cruelty to Patients, Inc.- nonprofit organization. It was formed by Carol after her mother, Zoe, a victim of a stroke and malpractice and greed, died in Bradenton, Florida. During her dying (which should have been recovery) and following her death, she discovered the following... We Recover- There are too many people suffering from alcohol and other drug abuse and addiction. People both in recovery and in need of addiction recovery services face many hardships.� The stigma or belief that people who have experienced alcohol or other drug abuse and addiction are somehow less deserving of medical carethan those who have experienced other chronic disease must change. The bill would establish a single-payer national public health care insurance plan, essentially an improved equal-treatment Medicare for all Americans. Campaign for Better Health Care (CBHC)- grassroots coalition of more than 300 local and statewide organizations representing consumers, health care workers and providers, community organizations, seniors, religious organizations, labor, disability rights organizations, and other citizens to help create and advocate for an accessible, quality health care system that provides for the health care needs of all Illinoisans. Health Care for America NOW! (HCAN)- progressive political campaign of organizations that promote health care reform in the United States. HCAN supported the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and in June 2009. Campaign for Children's Health Care- American issue advocacy campaign dedicated to making high-quality, affordable health insurance coverage for all of America's children a top national priority. Labor Campaign for Single Payer- The Campaign's goal is to promote active engagement in the struggle for a single-payer ―Medicare for All‖ national system at the state and local level among union members and others. The campaign will join with others in the national single-payer coalition in educating and mobilizing broad support for HR 676 and, as a result, educate our elected officials to the necessity of a health care system that is democratically controlled, publicly administered, and single-payer financed. The Medicare Rights Center- works to ensure access to affordable health care for older adults and people with disabilities through counseling and advocacy, educational programs and public policy initiatives. National Physicians Alliance (NPA)- The primary goal of the NPA is re-establish the professionalism in medicine through ―service, integrity, and advocacy. Pennsylvania Medical Society- the professional association for the state’s physicians and physicians in training. democratic organization governed by its physician members. It focuses on four guiding principles—patients, practice, politics, and professionalism. Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP)- an advocacy organization of physicians, medical students, and health professionals who support a single-payer system of national health insurance. also known for its members' substantial contributions to scientific research on the uninsured, health system economics and international health systems.

ShoutAmerica- non-profit organization that seeks to protect the long-term interest of the nation through the achievement of sustainable healthcare reform. Single-Payer Action Network Ohio (SPAN Ohio)- statewide coalition of organizations and individuals in Ohio. Their stated purpose is to seek fundamental health care reform in Ohio and the United States so that every resident is guaranteed full and comprehensive coverage through universal health care. This includes the full range of medical services, hospitalization, prescriptions, vision care, dental care, mental health care, home care, longterm care, and care for all injuries and illnesses. Single Payer Now!- non-profit, grassroots group of volunteers working since 1994 for single-payer health care: a health care plan without private, for-profit insurance companies. Universal Health Care Foundation of Connecticut- The foundation has several ideas for universal health care that it believes can be enacted and be affordable for government, consumers and businesses. The organization insists on certain benchmarks: universality, affordability for families and individuals, high quality care, and the ability to continue health care coverage through changing circumstances.[4] The foundation says it believes health care is a fundamental right Susan G. Komen for the Cure- non-profit organization to raise money for research and awareness of breast cancer. It is the world's largest network of breast cancer survivors and activists as well as the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world. CanCare- non-profit cancer support network with a mission to improve the quality of life for cancer survivors and their families. This support comes from trained volunteers who themselves have experienced and survived a cancer diagnosis or have been a caregiver to someone who has. American Heart Association- The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association will advocate for strategies that promote sound public policy aimed at reducing heart disease and stroke. Aids United- AIDS United is dedicated to the development and implementation of sound public health policy in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. We work to advance federal policies that improve the quality of life and ensure access to treatment and care for all those living with HIV/AIDS. AIDS United promotes scientific and evidence based HIV prevention policy to reduce the spread of new infections. Through our advocacy efforts, we work to ensure an adequate investment of resources to meet the needs of those living with and at risk for HIV/AIDS. At the top of AIDS United' policy agenda, is the development of a comprehensive National AIDS Strategy to end the HIV/AIDS crisis in the United States. American Obesity Association- The Obesity Society is committed to advancing policy changes that address the current epidemic of obesity. Our advocacy program has three leading objectives: To assist in the development of programs designed to prevent obesity; To ensure patients have access to quality medical care for obesity treatment; To increase funding of obesity research. To this end, The Obesity Society has worked with the United States Congress, the US Surgeon General, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, HMOs and others. National Eating Disorder Association- The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by eating disorders. We campaign for prevention, improved access to quality treatment, and increased research funding to better understand and treat eating disorders. We work with partners and volunteers to develop programs and tools to help everyone who seeks assistance. American Speech-Language-Hearing Association- promote the interests of and provide the highest quality services for professionals in audiology, speech–language pathology, and speech and hearing science, and to advocate for people with communication disabilities. American Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Institute- ational nonprofit health care organization, is dedicated to the
