To achieve its goals, the American Association of University Women promotes advo cacy, philanthropy, education, and research. Its advocacy work involves shaping public policy on the local and international levels and encouraging others to ma ke their voices heard. Specific areas of focus include sick days, pay equity, an d retirement security. The organization offers fellowships and grants both domes tically and internationally.
