GOALS The College adopts the following goals embraced by the different curricular offerings: 1. To develop quality skilled technicians, paraprofessionals, mentors and technologists as agents in attaining the national objectives (NIC-hood status): & 2. To elevate the morale of manual labor by educating the youth with quality technological education and skills development. OBJECTIVES The College of Technology of the Tarlac State University aims to develop skilled technicians, paraprofessionals. Entrepreneurs, mentors and technologists who: 1. Understand the national goals and objectives on development demanded by modernization, and 2. Equip with knowledge and skills necessary for technical-vocational instruction, entrepreneurship, and industrial and service shop management. 3. Obtain adequate industrial training and seminars for the enhancement of technical capabilities in the preparation for employment. 4. Possess desirable work attitude leading to the attainment of high productivity of carry-on the socio-economic thrust of the government. 5. Capable of conducting research study and apply new knowledge for the improvement of academic programs as well as the individual’s life. Have the interest in doing extension services to help improve people’s lifestyles.

I.COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course deals on the study of the air-conditioning used on cars, the major components of the system. The function of each, the proper process of leak testing, purging vacuuming and recharging of the system. The method of trouble shooting and performance testing of the system, Giving also an emphasis on the environmental effect of refrigerant that contains Fluorocarbon, believing to destroy our ozone layer protecting us from ultraviolet ray of sunlight the process of Freon recovery (R-12).

II.GENERAL COURSE OBJECTIVE: At the end of the course, the students are expected to: 1. Acquire knowledge and skills in vacuuming and recharging (R-12) or (R-134A) in the systems. 2. Contribute to the protection of ozone layer by applying proper knowledge of Freon gas recovery.
