Dear Automechanika
exhibitors,
Have you noticed that something is
definitely going on in the “Metropolis
of Mobility”? Take a close look at our
new design and you’ll discover
elements from the commercial vehicle
sector as well as a display with
infotainment icons. Automechanika
is delighted to introduce these and
other new departures for 2014.
In our hall plan on page 13 of the
brochure you’ll find two new product
groups: Parts & Components and
Electronics & Systems. In the latter
group we bring together new devel­
opments from the areas of engine
electronics, vehicle lighting, electrical
systems, comfort electronics, driver
assistance systems and vehicle safety.
The Truck Competence section in
2012 proved a magnet for visitors from
transportation companies, shipping
companies and special vehicle work­
shops. In future, Automechanika
intends to highlight even more clearly
its high level of Truck Competence.
The Accessories & Tuning area is also
expanding its product spectrum. In
addition to tuning solutions, infotain­

ment, accessories (e.g. technical
textiles) and a Clubsport Arena,
suppliers from the special vehicles,
equipment and modifications sector
as well as trailers for cars and com­
mercial vehicles are also accommo­
dated in Hall 4. The fair still maintains
its focus on future themes such as
alternative drive technologies and
professional development and gives
important inspirations to the industry.
In 2012, Automechanika had record
figures of 4,597 exhibitors from
74 countries. A large number of them
have been coming for many years,
for which I should like to take this
opportunity to express my thanks.
I am looking forward to seeing not
only our regular exhibitors again in
2014, but also all those who will be
coming for the first time.

Truck Competence – new transparency for commercial vehicles.

With the Truck Competence visitor guide
Automechanika Frankfurt specifically focuses
on the commercial vehicle sector. The Truck
Competence logo on your stand brings added

transportation companies, shipping companies,

Specialists from the world of mobile infotainment will also be causing a stir at
Automechanika. The Car Media special show
organised by the European Mobile Media

Association (EMMA) will be providing information about the latest trends and solutions for
custom retrofitting of entertainment electronics
and in-car navigation and communication
systems – from using smartphones to music
and video playback, telephony and the Internet.
Automechanika is the perfect place to find

ensure that driving is as comfortable, safe

Welcome to Car Wash City.
Globally unique – car wash systems in action.

Automechanika attracts the leaders of the car
wash business to Frankfurt. And with good
reason. At no other trade fair are car wash
systems shown in action. With its South-West
Outdoor Area, Automechanika offers the largest
exhibition area in the world for these facilities.
In addition to car wash systems, the area also
focuses on equipment for vehicle care and
valeting as well as cleaning agents and acces­
sories. For companies wanting a smaller stage
at the fair, they have for the first time the
opportunity to display their offer in a covered
presentation area. From 2014, the service
station sector will be accommodated separately
in Hall 10.
Another new feature is an accompanying
programme of seminars for car wash operators.

With a total of 90,000 apprentices a year, the automotive
industry is Germany’s largest trainer. And that doesn’t
take into account the broad spectrum of professional
development opportunities. The latest technologies and
traditional craftsmanship are excitingly combined here  –
with subjects ranging from alternative drive technologies,
repair paintwork and accident repairs to servicing and
diagnostics.
At Automechanika the theme of training and professional
development receives strong support from trade asso­

We shall be expanding the 2012 concept to include
