Introduction
Pakistani food today consists of staple ingredients which are cheap and abundant, despite that fact its cuisines are very well known for its richness and flavor (SAARC, 2009). Pakistan is a developing nation and as development happens, people change to adapt themselves to their environment. An old concept, yet professionally new in the Pakistani Food Industry is catering to a fast paced environment looking for fast food and casual dining together. A Fast Food Restaurant is a restaurant characterized both by food which is supplied quickly after ordering, and by minimal service. The term Fast Food Casual Restaurant refers to a restaurant where people have the option of either takeout or sit-in to enjoy their food. The food purchased at such a restaurant are prepared and served quickly. Fast-food outlets have become fairly popular with consumers for several reasons. One is that through economies of scale in purchasing and producing food, these companies can deliver food to consumers at a very low cost. In addition, although some people dislike fast food for its predictability, it can be reassuring to a hungry person in a hurry or far from home. In term of future of this industry, the Pakistani economy is becoming increasingly service-oriented, and over the past several decades, the food industry that offer the highest levels of convenience have been rewarded with strong sales growth.

Business Concept
The Fast Food Restaurant Market is a growing industry in Pakistan relying heavily on the changing lifestyle patterns, population growth of the target age group and the related increase in employment of women. With today's hectic lifestyles, time-saving products are increasingly in demand the most obvious being Fast Food. The Business Concept being focused in this report is a Fast Causal Restaurant by the name ‘Burger Chutney (BC)’. A Fast Food Casual Restaurant such as Burger Chutney have a high sit-in ratio with a seating capacity of about 40 people , but does not offer table services where waiters bring the food that has been ordered to a designated tables like in Fine Dining Restaurants.

However, customers place their order at the front counter and are immediately serviced by BC employees. At BC customers are given a wide range of Burgers, Sandwiches, and Milkshakes options to choose from. The focus of BC is to provide excellent yet quick service, delicious yet reasonably priced food to all its customers. For the comfort of BC customers attached parking spaces, children play area with security services is also available.

Technology at BC
BC uses a Hospitality Point of Sales Hardware System (HPOS) that is a computerized system including registers, computers, monitors and other peripheral equipment, linked to a computer network. Like other point of sale systems, these systems keep track of sales, labor and payroll, and can generate records used in accounting and book keeping (2011). At BC registers are touch screens computers linked to printers that are able to print guest checks, print orders to kitchens, process credit cards and other payment cards, and run reports. Additionally, remote servers can connect to BC networks. In the most restaurants, registers are placed on the front counter, or configured for drive through customers. Customer that come and place their orders at the front counter registers, and are served orders at the same terminal, while drive through registers allow orders to be taken at one drive through windows, while being served at another. As BC is just opening in Lahore, only Front Counter service will be available, drive through might be taken into consideration later. BC will also require a reliable PC for back end purposes. Keeping the business in mind, BC’s requirement is to get a fast and efficient desktop computer. Therefore HP Elite 8200 MT PC linked with HP X22 LED Monitor would be a very wise choice (2011). BC’s Policy clearly states that no Pirated Software is to be used at BC’s premises. This policy applies on all employees of the organization. Dealing and implementation of pirates software will be dealt with strict consequences. In terms of Software requirements BC requires a system that can track Sales,

Inventory, Payroll, HR, and General Accounts plus create Reports for each of the above. The HPOS Hardware system comes with its own POS software which covers all the above mentioned areas but training is a necessity which BC will have to give before opening to the public. For the stand alone computer that is for back end purposes the factory fitted Operating Software will be included. However, other Management software needs to be purchase. For example Microsoft Office 2010, Professional Plus (64-Bit) (2010).
