Plastic surgery is a specialized branch of surgery which aims at correcting functional defects, injured or missing parts in the body by remodeling or reconstructing them. Plastic surgery is named from the Greek word plastikos meaning to shape or remodel. This refers to the process of plastic surgery where in a part of the body is reshaped to remove any physical deformity present. It does not refer to the material used during the surgery.
