Refrigerant Oil Enhancement and Oil additives for air conditioning...A
Major Breakthrough for Commercial Air Conditioning!
Air conditioning and refrigeration uses up 50% of the energy. This led to the
installation of many new ‘smart meters’ from new electric companies. These were
installed on buildings to monitor energy use. During the day the rate is higher than
at night. Due to this reason, a lot of focus is put on air cooling and other available
efficiencies. Refrigerant Oil Enhancement is a technology that was developed
for this purpose and it is very effective, easy to afford and is used in any cooling
unit with a refrigerant line to increase efficiency.
It does not require new equipment. This product is a Energy efficient air
conditioning supplement that is specifically blended and has many benefits
when the existing refrigerant oil is mixed with the refrigerant oil supplement.

Research carried out by ASHRAE (America Society for Heating Refrigeration and
Air Conditioning Engineers) shows that cooling system performance goes down
by 30% owing to accumulation of lubricants on internal surfaces in the whole heat
exchange system. This build-up leads to reduction in heat transfer, increase in
pressure drop and the equipment’s latent heat capacity is reduced. The boiling
points also shoot up.
All this leads to loss of cooling capacity and loss of lubricity. This shortens the
lifespan of the equipment leading to increase in operating cost. This process is
known as oil fouling and results naturally from installed lubricants. Oil additives for
air conditioning offers a solution to this problem.
There exists an oil lubricant additive that is used as an antioxidant and is
formulated to enhance the functionality of the existing oil. This oil vaporizes,
moves throughout the system together with the refrigerant and lubricates and
protects the system’s movable parts and its seals. It contains a Polarizing
Compound which allows the formula to connect to metal on a molecular level. The
insulating build-up of the compressor lubricating oil is displaced using this
property. It bonds directly to metal surface forming a coat which has a single
molecule thin layer.
The supplement oil additive molecule prevents accumulation of oil. Therefore,
heat transfer is no longer restricted in the heat exchanger coils as the displaced
compressor lubricating oil goes back to the reservoir.
When using Refrigerant oil enhancement, the following problems may arise:
· Incompatibility when a condensing unit is replaced but air handler is not.
· Sometimes the internal coil volumes are not matched properly when an old
air handler is used with a new condensing unit.
· The refrigerants and compressor lubricants may differ in characteristics
when installed in new systems.

Refrigerant Oil Enhancement will extend the life span of machines and therefore
cut down costs as far as repair and maintenance is concerned. This oil
supplement has been confirmed to be more effective than other standard
refrigerant oils.
It will serve to protect seals, reduce oxidation and lubricate moving parts. The
untested supplement will be effectively blended to match the refrigerant type.
