• Specially designed Trimester system with proper planning to utilize the resources effectively and efficiently for the overall development of students. Co-curricular
The NMIMS philosophy has always been about allround development of students. Apart from ensuring academic excellence, a plethora of activities are organized to help students to take initiatives and bring to the fore their un-utilized and lesser known potentials in any sector - be it sports, culture or academics. All the student activities are the responsibility of the Students Council; which ingrain in them the qualities of leadership, planning, strategizing, budgeting, teamwork, managing or sharing responsibilities and meeting deadlines. Here are the various committees into which the council has been distributed and the initiatives taken by them.

Technical Committee
The word TECHNICAL refers to "Knowledge and proficiencies required in the accomplishment of engineering, scientific, or any specific task". The technical committee is a group of technically efficient teachers and students who work towards enhancing as well as discovering technical abilities in students. This is done with help of various workshops and competitions which help the students to judge their skills and improve them further. These events are done under the guidance of experts who share their knowledge with students thereby instructing them about the facts and also answering their doubts. Such events help students to gain technical knowledge not only in theory but also practically, they get updated on the recent achievements in the field of science and technology.

Cultural Committee
A nation's culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people. Hence, apart from academic excellence, the college also provides a platform to the students to showcase their skills in cultural activities through the cultural committee which is traditionally called “ZISTATVA”. Zistatva organises various events throughout the year under the guidance of various faculty members. By this, the committee infuses positive aggression and fires up the competitive spirit through cutting edged training in various cultural programmes, thus bringing out the performer hidden inside every student.

PlaceCom
The Placement Committee is a student activity to complement the faculty endeavours for arranging placements for students. It works towards recognizing the core competencies of students to better serve the interests of their batch mates. In order to accomplish Industry-Institute interaction, it organizes technical talks and national seminars to provide a platform for the budding Engineers to interact with professionals from various industries.

Sattva
Sattva is NMIMS University's National Level Mega Festival conducted and managed by Students of MPSTME. Sattva comprises of two major components i.e. A Technical and A Cultural Festival. Colleges and Universities from around India participate in this mega-event. In the past two years of Sattva being conducted, some names from the entertainment industry who have attended, performed or Judged competitions include, Shaan, MTV-Roadies Judge Raghu, MTV VJ Anushka Dandekar, DJ Akhtar, The Band of Boys & Anjana Sukhani.

Sports Committee
Sport is human life in microcosm. ~ Howard Cosell The Sports committee is a working cell of teachers and students who work towards inculcating the sporting ability of students. This is done by organising various sporting tournaments like cricket, football, badminton, basketball, volleyball and it also includes indoor games liked chess and carrom.

FinDrome
FinDrome – the finance cell of NMIMS University's Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering (MPSTME) is a students' body which organizes events and activities such as guest lectures from industry experts, virtual stock market, management simulation games, case study competition, panel discussions etc in financial domain round the year. Such events and activities keep students abreast with latest happenings in corporate and financial world.

Student Chapter CSI
Formed in 1965, the Computer Society of India has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path during its formative years. The CSI - Student Branch at the institute was formed in the year 2005, to facilitate awareness and learning in the various domains of IT and its related disciplines. The stalwarts of this Branch organised a festival TAQNEEQ in 2008. Elite speakers elucidated on various topics of engineering and management. Other competitions witnessed huge student participation. The festival also endorsed social causes under Corporate Social Responsibility.

Student Chapter IEEE
Since its inception in 2006, IEEE Student Branch at MPSTME has been actively organizing many technical and non-technical events falling under a broad spectrum of fields, like Introduction to VLSI workshop, Robotics Workshop, Mock CAT, Obstacle Robotics Competition, Technical Paper Presentation, LAN gaming, Project Guidance, Industrial Visit etc. This consists of a dedicated group of students who aim to gain exposure to new technical advancements for greater career opportunities and to keep themselves abreast with the latest developments in cutting-edge technology.

Social Responsibility Forum Colloquium
NMIMS believes that Social Responsibility is a key contributor to progress and hence the Institute has courses designed to sensitize young engineers to their social responsibility. As an outcome of this social sensitization process, students in 2003 formed “Social Responsibility Forum” (SRF), a voluntary association of students. • SRF is active throughout the year, constantly organizing events, drives, movie shows, undertaking consultation for NGO's etc. In the past, SRF has organized various activities like Blood Donation Camps, contributions of clothes, medicines, blankets and money for Tsunami relief and Mumbai Flood relief, clothes donation drives, toys donation d r i v e , A I D S a w a re n e s s e ff o r t s , w o m e n entrepreneurship literacy programmes etc. • • • • • Colloquium is the student-industry interface at MPSTME, which exposes students to the much accredited views of highly successful people across different industries. Student Chapter ACM
ACM, the world's largest educational and scientific computing society, delivers resources that advance computing as a science and as profession. ACM provides the computing field's premier Digital Library and serves its members and the computing profession with leading-edge publications, conferences, and career resources. In 2009 this year, MPSTME's ACM Student Chapter was formed. ACM MPSTME aims at delivering a research environment to the students by providing them with the Technical resources, organizing events and guest lectures.

PMI is the leading global association for the project management profession. Since it's founding in 1969, it has been at the forefront of working with business to create project management standards and techniques that work. In India, first-ever Student's Branch was launched in 2008, to facilitate student's understanding of project management, and to give them an opportunity to interact with industry professionals and practitioners. The MPSTME Student's Branch conducts monthly events in which speakers from diverse fields are invited to share their experiences among students and industry professionals, and quarterly workshops on domain-specific or projectmanagement related topics such as MS Project.
