Career describes an individuals' journey through learning, work and other aspects of life. There are a
number of ways to define a career and the term is used in a variety of ways. "Work to become, not to aquire." -Elbert Hubbard "Here is the test to find whether your mission on earth is finished: If you're alive, it isn't." -Richard Bach From these two quotes we conclude that career is far more important than money or health. The two philosophers are insinuating that it doesn't matter what you have, but what you leave behind.

The purpose of a career development plan is to help you reach your goals. Everyone has aspirations in life and specific levels they would like to reach. prove a company's performance. Job-seekers are looking for many different things and approach jobs with varying levels of commitment and enthusiasm. Some might search for a position that allows a steady paycheck and easy work, while others might search for a meaningful future in an industry they're passionate about. This difference defines the distinction between jobs and careers. While your job consists of the tasks you perform daily to earn income, your career encompasses all of your experience, education and future path within a particular industry. There are many people who easily become dedicated to a job, working in a stressful environment, accepting a less than fair salary and sometimes working more than 12 hours a day. If you can discipline yourself enough to show up each day to work to give it all you have and accept someone's idea of "fair" reward, you should truly understand that your mind, body and soul need some sort of healthy, daily nurturing to sustain this type of dedication. Athletes and fitness folks are revered for being so dedicated to their training and their programs. People who are dedicated to their health are praised for staying on track. So we see, the

praise comes either way and the common bond is the DEDICATION. Dedication and commitment are considered positive attributes.


Sciencetist dedicate their lives to resarch, searching for the Univers’ rules of existence. Some of them even sacrificed their lives for their career , for exemple Marie Curie, she studied radiations, without knowing how dangerous they are, and she died because of this. Inventors are also very dedicated to their jobs, the best example we can give here is Steve Jobs who was the CEO and the brain of Apple for 15 years. Steve Jobs came with the concept of many Apple products and stole many ideas. The 16th president of The United States also had a big career, he managed to eliminate slavery and also to have a family. But with all the succes, this story ended with the tragedy of his death, because of his daring decisions.
