December 2013/January 2014 Volume 3 / Issue 1 Chapter Chatter 598
Welcome to 2014!
Your newly elected Executive

work, handling issues
remaining from 2013. We are
happy to be selected as this
year's board and appreciate
Lake Elsinore Chapter Chatter 598
your confidence in us as we move towards making
a better chapter. Please attend our chapter meetings
to hear first-hand what is happening, and get
involved with your chapter. We also would like to
thank the 2013 Officers for a job well done.
We have begun nominations for the Para Ed
Conference (April 2-4). We will continue them next
month and then will vote to select the four members
who will attend. If you are interested, please make
sure to attend the next chapter meeting.
We would also like you to be aware, that if you
are requested to attend an Interactive Meeting with
the district, please contact a member of your E-
Board (not your Site Rep) so that they can help
insure that your rights are upheld.

Each site has a CSEA Site Rep. assigned now.
Employees who have Union issues or questions
about our Collective Bargaining Agreement
(Contract - aka CBA) and / or feel their rights are
being violated can contact their site rep. for
clarification on whether it’s a contractual issue or
not. Your site rep. on determination of violation
of such rights, will contact our CSEA Job
Stewards, who will in turn contact your Chief
Union Steward and Executive Board. Plans for
Site Rep Training are in the works and will be
implemented soon. Please get to know your Site
Rep, and more importantly get to know your
contract.
As CSEA Union Members you have your
Collective Bargaining Rights. Know your rights.
