Work with engineering department to Initiate, develop and maintain offline NC programs to support a fast paced Machining operations environment Will be involved in the prove out of new technology, first article inspection, fixture design, and day to day programming Responsible for completing changes to existing CNC programs, and assisting with estimating or other inter-department technical requirements Specifies and makes provisions for tools, gauges, machines required to manufacture complex components Works closely with Planning, Quality, Engineering and other team members Creates and maintains part programs for all types of numerical control applications taking into consideration such factors as machining parameters, cutter selections and control limitations, while ensuring the design intent and component quality is achieved Act as a liaison between the shop floor machinists and engineering to improve setup instructions and identify efficiency improvements improvements Responsible for setting up, operating and programming a CNC Milling machine. Must be proficient at all types of drilling, tapping and milling Must be able to complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in set up, operation and programming of CNC Horizontal Mill machines. Degree/Diploma from an accredited post-secondary program or equivalent practical experience or WorkKeys testing completed. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Experience with Hurco machines is a plus (but not required)

Experience running lathe machines is a plus (but not required) Experience in copper machining is a plus (but not required) Ability to read and work off of a blueprint Strong interpersonal skills including, but not limited to, contributing to a team-oriented environment, balancing team and individual responsibilities. Physical Requirements: Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting Ability to work overtime, as needed. Good machining-related troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate well with Machine Operators Ability to stand for long periods of time Pay $20-24/hour DOE
