DELIVERING CHANGE
The advent of computers has
revolutionized the way we live, work,
interact, access knowledge, shop,
organize our world and engage
ourselves. Today computers no longer
serve the needs of students or working
class alone, but can benefit even senior
citizens and homemakers for daily
activities like Skype, online shopping,
bookings and reservations, passports
and banking among others.
Yet, in a country with only 1/4th
population illiterate, the level of digital
literacy fares much lower - at only
6.5%.

Particularly, senior citizens and
homemakers find it difficult to access
basic computer skills due to lack of
resources and education centers.
Further, despite feeling the acute need
to be in step with latest technology,
they find it difficult to learn from
children who are already busy.
While the government continues to
focus on increasing the national
literacy rate, Dainik Bhaskar aims to
ensure digital literacy for those already
literate.

RISING WITH
CONFIDENCE
TODAY EVEN I CAN
USE COMPUTERS.
Today children of the 21st century are learning
computers right from school. Senior citizens
also want to learn those skills. Dainik Bhaskar
has given me a good opportunity and
platform, that too free of cost.

PAPA I WILL BUY YOU A COMPUTER
IF YOU LEARN HOW TO USE IT.
I had thought of learning computers many
times but always hesitated. Bhaskar has
helped me get over this hesitation. When my
Doha based daughter heard of this, she
encouraged me to join this program. She even
promised to buy me a computer if I did.
