Assignment –December 2015 Examination Series DIPLOMA IN LAW [DIL]

Contract Law I SUBJECT CODE: LAW113 Assignment release date: 25 September 2015(Friday) INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES: 1.

Assignment Questions consists of two (2) questions: Assignment Question No.1 (based on English Law) 15 Marks  Assignment Question No.2 (based on Malaysian Law) 15 Marks Total Assignment Marks 30 Marks

Both assignment questions (Questions No.1 and No.2) must be combined into ONE (1) booklet, attached with Assignment Submission Form as the front cover enclosed with the Marking Criteria;typed double spacedusing Times Roman (Size 12). Submitted assignment booklet must be stapled (single staple only on the top left corner).Submission of assignment answers which failed to comply in the prescribed format will be REJECTED resulting in a FAIL grade.

Students will need to UPLOAD their assignments to TURN-IT-IN (a plagiarism website) at http://www.turnitin.com to check spelling, grammar and citation. Upon uploading, a TURN-IT-IN REPORT will be generated and students must print and submit this report together with their assignment answers. Submission of assignment without the Turn-itin report will be REJECTED.Any discrepancy regarding the submission of Assignment to Turn-it-in must be reported at least 72 hours before the due date of submission. No extension will be granted for student’s failure to generate and/or print the Turn-it-in Report.

Students are to submit their assignment booklet ON or BEFORE 12.00 noon.,30 October2015 (Friday)to the Centre of Continuing Education (CCE). NO EXTENSION WILL BE GRANTED. A penalty of 5 marks per day will be deducted from the total marks of the assignments for each day, or part of a day, of late submission.

Group discussions are encouraged but answers must not give the Examiners reasons to believe that copying of each other’s works and/or plagiarism has occurred. Copying and/or plagiarism are a serious offence and will result in a FAIL grade. Originality will be one of the key factors in the awarding of points and grades. A good answer should be appropriately structured in accordance with the structure or order of the Marking Criteria for the assignment question [See Marking Criteria attached herewith].

7.

The answer to each assignment question must include a bibliography and suitable referencing. Answer without a bibliography will be deemed as work of PLAGIARISM and will result in a FAIL grade.

8.

Assignment submission must observe the “Order of Pages” as shown below. Submission of assignment which failed to comply with the set order will be REJECTED and/or resulted in a FAIL grade.
