he Chubb Custodian Safe is a medium security safe designed to offer burglar and fire protection* for cash and valuables. The Chubb Custodian Safe was carefully researched and developed with the design emphasis placed on developing a safe that was resistant to the more sophisticated burglar and that suited an environment that was moderately exposed to the possibility of burglary attacks for example petrol retail outlets, hotels, pharmacies, offices, fast food outlets and etc.

SPECIFICATIONS
BODY
The body consists of inner and outer plates enclosing a seamless casting of Chubb’s M30 barrier material, solidly forming a monolithic structure that is consistent in its strength. Its overall thickness of 4 2/ 5 inches (112mm) provides a formidable barrier to a potential criminal in addition to its fire resisting properties*. These standard features are present in quality safes sold by Chubb worldwide.
Chubb’s investment into the research and development of its wide range of security products is considerable. The Chubb Custodian Safe utilizes this vast experience and exemplifies Chubb’s internationally renowned expertise in the art of safe-making. The Chubb Custodian Safe’s suitability in a medium-risk environment stems from its superior features which include resistance against the jack-attack, high-speed drills, oxyacetylene cuttings and force. More importantly, the Chubb Custodian Safe has been built to withstand a combination of these attacks which have become more frequent in recent years. Manufactured using revolutionary Chubb patented barrier materials, the Chubb Custodian Safe is the suitable solution to medium range risk situations without the prohibitive costs often associated with the higher security safe range. The Chubb Custodian Safe offers generous storage capacity, versatile locking options and provides for additional security features to be incorporated like possible connections to a premise’s central alarm system.
DOOR
The door has an overall thickness of 5 4/ 5 inches (148mm) and is secured by 3-way moving steel bolts (except for Custodian Size 1) measuring 11/ 4 inches (32mm) in diameter. The back edge of the door is also secured with 11/ 4 inch (32mm) deadbolts. All bolts are strategically spaced out and when locked fit smoothly into individual bolt holes. The uniform distribution of the Custodian Safe’s bolts along the door contribute towards additional resistance against attempts to dislodge individual bolts. Force from attacks against the Safe’s door for example, in the form of a jack attack, is therefore evenly distributed making the prospect of forced entry even more difficult. All Chubb Custodian Safes have also been incorporated with individual bolt holes to further enhance the door’s resistance against any potential external force designed to force the door from the safe’s body. These bolt holes therefore contribute towards the overall solidarity to the safe’s body when it is closed. The Chubb Custodian Safe’s door is filled with Chubb’s F80 patented barrier material. For additional fire protection, a steel pan filled with fire resistant material is secured behind the lockcase.
LOCKING
The Chubb Custodian Safe is fitted with a U.L.** listed 3-wheel keyless combination lock and a pick-resistant 6-lever Chubb high security keylock. Both locks are independently operated and are each further protected by a glass relocker and a drill resistant plate respectively. This relocker is strategically located to maximise protection and to ensure that the bolts remain extended under a variety of attacks. The relocker is further protected by Chubb’s Drill Resistant Blocks which contribute to further strengthening the drill resisting qualities of the door structure. The Chubb Custodian Safe is also designed to accomodate other optional locking systems apart from the standard. A wide variety of non-standard electronically operated locks, time locks and time delay locks can be fitted upon special request. FITTINGS The Chubb Custodian Safe comes complete with standard internal steel shelves adjusted in intervals to suit individual customer requirements. Internal drawers are also made of steel and are individually secure by a keylock with keys in duplicate. Drawers are generally mounted in standard positions as per drawing specifications. NIGHT DRAWER TRAP (OPTIONAL) The security level and quality standards of the Chubb Custodian safes are constantly maintained throughout the manufacturing process and is subject to the close scrutiny of the ISO9002 approved quality assurance system. This independent standard along with Chubb’s constant commitment to its Clients through outstanding service and support contribute towards the trust built up by people using Chubb security products worldwide.
The Night Drawer Trap facility is suitable for operational situations which require secure deposits of cash or valuables into a safe without having to open the safe’s main door. The Drawer Trap allows for deposits to be safely deposited into a secure drawer. Upon closing the drawer, the contents would fall into the safe compartment below. Retrieval may be done at some pre specified time. An anti-fishing plate is also incorporated to reduce illegal ‘fishing’ attempts to remove the Safe’s contents via the Trap. FINISH
An epoxy-based grey finish is used to coat the body and door. The paint is both scratchresistant and durable.
