MANAGER – AEROSPACE & DEFENCE, CYBER SECURITY
Manager and principal consultant of Defence, Aviation and Cyber Security Department directing a team
of 10 analysts, consultants, and interns, with an annual team-generated revenue of over £300,000.


Independent editorial oversight and quality control of all analyses, evaluations and
reports, including 15 market forecasts of cyber security and defence markets. Estimated annual
cumulative value of reports published within my team of £105,000.



Principal consultant in a £50,000-worth bespoke research project into cyber security of
industrial control systems and Internet-of-Things with a specific focus on products by ABB, AT&T,
Cisco, Intel, and IBM. Our research highlighted the need for implementing cyber insurance policies,
and emphasised the importance of social engineering in minimising threats originating from the
human factor within cyber security.

RESEARCH ANALYST – MIDDLE EAST & NORTH AFRICA PROGRAMME

As part of a team of three analysts, successfully set up a regional office of RUSI in Qatar contracted by
Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide three major policy research projects annually.


Researched and published two collaborative reports commissioned by the Ministries of Foreign
Affairs of Qatar and Japan on cyber security and the Iranian nuclear programme respectively. Our
cyber security report influenced a complete reorganisation of Qatar’s cyber security policy and led
to significant development of new information security infrastructure for critical protection facilities.



Advised the Vice-President of the National Bank of Poland on political and economic risks and
benefits of Poland’s relationship with Qatar, particularly in the context of Poland’s negotiations with
Qatar over deliveries of LNG to Poland and the commissioning of Poland’s LNG terminal in
Świnoujście.



Provided consultancy to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan on the structure of governance and
policy making in Qatar. Advised their diplomatic service on ways of deepening Japan’s involvement
in Qatar’s economy, particularly within the automotive and energy sectors.



Advised diplomatic corps of Cyprus, Hungary, and Poland on aspects of politics and security in
Qatar.



Produced a weekly RUSI Gulf Security Newsletter delivered to over 3,000 recipients.
