MAYOR RAWLINGS TO HOST A ‘COMMIT TO EDUCATION’ NEWS CONFERENCE AT TOWNVIEW CENTER Dallas ISD new Superintendent of Schools Mike Miles also will participate in the news conference DALLAS–City of Dallas Mayor Rawlings will join new Dallas ISD Superintendent Mike Miles and local representatives in a news conference to commit to improving our region’s educational system by providing new strategies for increasing regional cooperation that can improve long-term educational attainment. The news conference will be at 9:30 a.m., Friday, May 4, at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center, 1201 E. 8th Street. Prior to the news conference, Mayor Rawlings will lead a discussion and presentation of his educational goals with local, federal, state and Dallas ISD elected officials. The following individuals will also be attending the discussion/presentation and news conference: Lew Blackburn, President-Dallas ISD Board of Trustees Todd Williams, Executive Director of Commit!
