CAREER SUMMARY
David has over 8 years of experience as a product developer in the IT industry, where his focus has
been building and marketing products which are innovative yet geared toward meeting business goals.
David also has experience related to the commercialization of technologies for startup companies and
large institutions.
David has served as a Professor at ESPOL (Ecuador's largest University) delivering sessions in the areas
of entrepreneurship, innovation and research commercialization. His experience led him to build
ESPOL's first research commercialization office, “Inventio-ESPOL” as well as Ecuador's first Startup
Community, IDEA Network. David has interacted directly with top tier university representatives, policy
makers, C level industry professionals, IT, and operational personnel.
Overall, he has experience building innovative solutions that help companies leapfrog competition,
placing them in upcoming technological trends. David has been featured in various technological
magazines and regional press and has served as a speaker in various technology events and economic
forums, where he has been recognized globally. David has been responsible for managing relationships
and partnerships with international experience in Latin America, Europe, and Australia.
David has much experience in Latin America as well as US and Australia where he has US permanent
residence as well as Ecuadorian citizenship. David has spent time with the Wake County Economic
Development group and is now seeking employment within the Raleigh RTP area.

For much of my career, I have been directly responsible for developing and commercializing new
products and services which includes market research and helping manage launch of products.
ArcadeMe, Inc.
Aug 2013 - Present
CEO
Serving as co-founder of Raleigh, NC based startup business focused on proving an intuitive
web-based portal for subscription based online learning for the Gaming industry.
Organized conferences and developed alliances with various latin american indie studios and
technology evangelists including Sony Entertainment and Epic Games. In December 2014, ArcadeMe
was selected as one of the 100 companies taking part in Startup Chile Batch 12, receiving $40,000 in
seed funding.
IT and Innovation Strategy Consultant
Current and Recent Engagements
Initiated part-time consulting with local companies in the areas of process optimization, software
product marketing, and service implantation strategies. Customer base include the following
companies:
CoInnovar: Assisted in commercial strategy for private school association CORPEDUCAR's
structural innovation program using design thinking methodologies..
Neo-Rehab: Business strategy advisor for a telemetry healthcare startup in Brisbane, Australia,
to expand their current client base to new markets. Technological exploration and assessment
to optimize their technology to upcoming software standards. Assist board of directors
meetings to address business direction.
TV-Cable Group: Process optimization for Ecuador's largest broadcast and cable company.
Improved internal communication technology to accelerate reaction to customer service
requests. Trained company directors in social media strategy, digital marketing, and
collaborative technology for project management.
Grew customer satisfaction by 25% and online brand awareness by 45% in a 5 month period
verified through tracking mechanisms implemented.
Easymetering LLC: Assisting in with next generation technology development, IP patent and
business plan development.
ESPOL University: Gathered a large IP portfolio from seven research centers, assessing
marketability for several technological prototypes in the nanotechnology, IT, biotechnology,
water management, hardware, and renewable energy sectors. Collaborated directly with
research center directors and university directives to envision a commercialization strategy
involving IP protection and international product marketing. Visited potential customers to
validate market assumptions that tailored product development. Developed Ecuador's first
research commercialization public company Inventio-ESPOL in collaboration with university
business advisors as a result.
TC Televisión: Developed tool for ecuadorian TV network to display results of National
Assembly elections in 2006, using Flash and C#.

Commercial Advisor, Chief Innovation Officer / Interim CEO (Guayaquil)
Responsible for delivering product marketing strategy for software business supported through market
analysis, customer input and overall resource planning.
Responsible for all ESPOL's technology transfer initiatives and technology disaggregation strategies for
PARCON-ESPOL Technology Park, which in 2012 became the Inventio commercialization office.
Developed technological solutions for various Ecuadorian government entities and advertising industry.
These projects included:
Higher Education Council (CES): Led a 6 people team specialized in Django/Python, Java
Applets, and digital signature tokens. Built a platform to distribute all Ecuadorian university
students into SENESCYT accredited universities.
Ecuadorian E-Kiosk: Led a 3 people team specialized in Django, C#, and Windows Driver
development. Built an e-kiosk for Ecuadorian University students to print and scan documents
using university hosted cloud storage. Collaborated with Data Center specialists for hosting and
infrastructure development.
Interactive surfaces: Led a 4 people team specialized in C++, OpenGL, Java, Processing, and
Kinect to build three interactive products for the advertising industry. These products were an
interactive wall and floor using infrared sensors and a high lumen projector to paint over a
surface for interactive experiences, a projection mapping solution for indoor advertising, and a
kinect based game where users could interact with virtual objects. These surfaces were used in
the PLAY Convention, and Sony Entertainment's collaboration agreement with ESPOL University
announcement.
Freaky Creations: Led negotiations between ESPOL university, Inventio, ESPOL's IT research
center, and Freaky Creations, a promising indie game development studio. Collaborated with
ESPOL to develop financial statements for a $120,000 incubation program and a revenue
strategy for the studio's first games. Coordinated Freaky Creations' initial negotiations with Sony
Entertainment and their participation in the Latin American Playstation Incubation Program.

Founder of a creative production studio. In charge of operational management, brand design, and IT
related projects. Introduced video production with drones to Ecuador. Built brands that now have
international presence in the ecuadorian fashion and music industries including Fulgore, GOE, Manuel
Wolf. Organized the HackArt Creative Coding Hackathon, the 2013 International Latin American Fashion
