Each team will be given maximum 1.5 hours to take us around on their guided tour / capture footage to substantiate their innovations. They should prepare 1 group member for each group to explain to us briefly (a few sentences) the significance of each place / what activity we can do at the particular place / how the location contributes to the whole innovative guided tour package. This should be presented to camera and they need to memorize. For example 'For the guided tour on the history of Kedah, we start off at Masjid Zahir one of the most famous icons of Kedah. This is one of the oldest mosques in Malaysia, built in 1912. Where this mosque stands used to be a cemetery for the brave Kedah warriors who defended Kedah from the Siamese in 1821. Next, we go to the site of the attack...' If the places are nearby we can maybe follow them to 2-3 places, if not, maximum we can follow them to is 1 and the rest they can shoot on their own. Each team will be given a camera for them to shoot the guided tour / video for their product. The group should shoot the locations that they will include in the Innovative Guided Tour package. If there are any hands on activities in the package, they should get their group members to be involved in the hands on activity and shoot it. We will follow each team on the guided tour shooting the behind the scenes, beauty shots of the various places and the presentation to our camera for the bit explained above. For the Presentation to the judges, maximum 2 kids per group will have to pitch their guided tour/product to the judges, as though they are trying to convince them to come on the tour/sell their innovative product idea. They will present with their video as visuals of what the judges can expect to do on a tour / how the product addresses an issue. They should also prepare their own speech presentation to the judges. Please get the kids to prepare cue cards if they cannot remember their lines. They should not be looking at the TV set / presentation and need to face the judges for the presentation. The video should be edited to a duration not exceeding 10mins - their presentation to the judges should also not exceed 10mins. They will be provided with the cameras and edit software. They just need to prepare the guided tour and give us the list of locations so that we can clear permission to shoot there. Their presentation should consist of : -What their guided tour is about -Benefits of their tour -How is the tour different from other tours out there OR - What their product can do and how it addresses an issue - Benefits of using the product & how it is innovative - How the product is unique The kids also need to prepare a few lines on why they came up with the innovation.
