4 Corners Events E-Newsletter: Ramadan Special Issue
Welcome to the 5th issue of our e-newsletter!
As the first sun of August rises, we prepare to welcome the first dawn of Ramadan as well. Ramadan, the Holy month of fasting starts in accord with the month of August this year. It is a month of mercies and blessings and is anxiously awaited all year. During Ramadan, fasts are observed with deity and are broken at the sunset (called Iftar) with tempting cuisines signature only to this month, and the shisha sessions afterwards. It is a beautiful month which depicts holiness, spirituality, and humility towards others. Also the best time to wash off one’s sins, seek for forgiveness, give charity to the less fortunate and do good to all the rest too. Ramadan leaves us delightfully with our souls purified along with a lot of cherishing memories of the cool Sahurs (the meal taken before dawn), moments of divine spiritualism, the chirpy and delicious Iftars, the late night get to-gathers and a lot more. A sweet end to Ramadan marks the festivities of the Eid Al Fitr, also known as the Sweet Eid, commonly because of the desserts prepared on the occasion. Ramadan is missed badly once it is over!

A peek into the latest collection this month follows as under:

Making a great desert, errr , dessert!!
Dubai – Dubai’s latest craze: Camel Milk Chocolate … What? Never heard of one? Ever had a candy bar made of delicious camel milk chocolate? Or how about a glass of refreshing camel milk? Over in the United Arab Emirates, several firms — including a company owned by the Emir of Dubai — are betting gourmands will go crazy for them. Founded and owned by Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, Al Nassma owns a farm of 3000 camels and aims to produce 100 tons of premium camels' milk chocolate a year. Rather than producing budget Hershey’s or Cadbury’s-style bars, Al-Nassma is instead producing high-end bars with flavorings such as coriander and dates. Al Nassma said it wanted to be "the Godiva of the Middle East" and is expanding into new Arab markets, Japan, the United States and Europe, where it is already on sale at the Harrods department store in London. It is also selling at luxury hotels and large airlines. Camel milk tastes largely similar to cow’s milk but has vastly more vitamin C and insulin. Some of the lucky ones who have tasted the chocolate put it as: ―The Whole Milk Camel Milk Bar is nicely molded and tempered. It’s quite a dark looking milk chocolate bar. It has a distinct, thick snap to it. The caramel flavors are noticeable as is the smooth texture but still on the rustic side. It’s sweet but also well rounded with toasted notes and maybe a hint of malt and cheese.‖ Tempting … isn’t it! 

Emirates expands its flying network!
Dubai – Two of South America’s most iconic cities will soon have a faster link to Dubai and over 100 destinations worldwide when Emirates commences its daily non-stop service to Rio de Janeiro and extension to Buenos Aires from 3rd January 2012. Both Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro are rightly renowned as world-class leisure destinations as well as important business and trading centers. Brazil has been part of the Emirates network since 2007 when it began flights from Dubai to Sao Paulo. Emirates’ plans to implement services from Dubai to Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro will play an important role in increasing tourism, trade and investment between Argentina, Brazil and the UAE, in addition to the airline’s vast global network.
