Exercise: Step-up Transformer Circuits
1.Construct the circuit shown below on the breadboard.
2.Given the transformer turns ratio by your Instructor calculate the expected secondary and primary voltage and currents. (note: Source voltage will need to be increased with the transformer reversed to yield the desired 1 V. Measure primary voltage and increase source until 1 V is reached.)
5.Calculate the expected primary impedance according to theory and the measured primary impedance by taking the ratio of the primary voltage and current.
