The Manual of Procedure sets out the steps needed to implement effective distribution of Emergency Response Kits in the Pacific region in the event of a natural disaster or other emergency situation. It explains how Rotary New Zealand and Pacific partners can prepare for an emergency response, plan and distribute ERKs in the event of an emergency, and collect essential information to monitor the response. This is the first Manual of Procedure (version 1) developed in October 2012. The manual will be reviewed annually and updated as appropriate based on the collective learning of Rotary New Zealand and Pacific partners. The manual provides a number of templates with explanations of when and how to complete them to provide essential information about the emergency and to help plan and make decisions. These templates are also available to download individually from Rotary's website www.rnzwcs.org
