DIFFERENT TYPES OF HIV TESTS
A few weeks after contagion, the HIV virus provokes an immune response developing anti-HIV antibodies (Scheme 5). In the acute retroviral syndrome phase, the HIV virus is reproduced in large quantities. It flows through the blood and it infiltrates the lymphatic system organs, specifically lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen and the lymphoid tissue situated in the digestive system. Viruses and antibodies circulated in the body can be tested through specific blood tests.
