ATTeNTION POOL LOVeRS!
Arlington County is proud to provide lessons that are based on the Red Cross Learn-toSwim Program. When registering please make sure participants can complete all necessary prerequisites prior to beginning the class. Student who are not at the right level hinder the classes’ ability to function. Everyone progresses at different speeds, so it is typical to repeat courses. Public Health requires pools to close when contaminated. Swim diapers or snug-fitting plastic pants must be worn by anyone who is incontinent. Also please do not eat with 30 minutes of swimming. Children under nine years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the building. Children under five must have a guardian in the water with them when class is not in session. If the pool is open for public swim after class, children can swim up to 5 minutes but a guardian must be with them in the water at this time.
