These are the two social psychology prompts albeit slightly altered from the May 2012 exam. We will use them to help you refine your basic research into your sub-topic of social psychology. Outline how one principle that defines the sociocultural level of analysis has been demonstrated in one example of research (theory or study). [8 marks] Evaluate research (theories and/or studies) on one sub-topic of social psychology. [22 marks]
Let’s follow this series of steps to help us develop these essays. (1) Define the command term. We have nearly completed the first phase of the command term Quizlet assignment, so we should have some idea of what they mean. Go ahead and write out the definition. Don’t skimp. Do it. It will help you focus on what is important in the question. (2) After defining the command term, pick out the important terms in the question. What are you being asked to do (the command term) and what are you being asked to do it with (the key terms in the prompt). (3) What information will you use? Brainstorm for a moment or two (in proportion to the number of points coming from the question). (4) Organize that information into some type of outline. (5) Check for what might have been missed. Fill-in where necessary. Do this step. It will help you be sure you are about to write a complete answer. (6) Begin writing.
