Upon request of the appointing officer, the Department of Human Resources may authorize work schedules for ext":- .ive, administrative or professional employees which are comprised of eight (8) hours within twelve (12) or a forty (40) hour work week in four, five or six consecutive days. Such change in the number of work days shall not alter the basis for, nor entitlement to, receiving the same rights and privileges as provided all five-day, forty hour-a-week employees.

When the equivalent classes ill the Deputy Sheriff division receive an increase in base wages, the base wages of the IPOA classes assigned to the Sheriffs Department will increase at the same time and in the same amounts during the term of this agreement without it being necessary for the IPOA or any member of the bargaining Unit to initiate action. A copy of the :)eputy Sheriff agreement on wages is attached hereto as Attachment B.

III.B. NORMAL WORK SCHEDULES 82.

Regular Work Day. Unless agreed upon by the City and the Union as set forth below under the heading "Alternate Work Schedule", a regular workday is a tour of duty of eight (8) hours of work completed within not more than twenty-four (24) hours. There shall be no split shift.

83.

Regular Work Week. The Appointing Authority shall determine the work schedule for employees in his/her department. Unless agreed upon by the Union and the City as set forth below under the heading "Alternate Work Schedule", a regular workweek is a tour of duty of five (5) consecutive days within a seven (7) day period. However, employees who are moving from one shift or one work schedule to another may be required to work in excess of five (5) wading days in conjunction with changes in their work shifts or schedules.

Alternate Work Schedule. By mutual agreement, the City and the Union may enter into cost equivalent alternate work schedules for some or all represented employees. Such alternate work schedules may include, but are not limited to, core hours flex-time; fulltime work weeks of le= han five (5) days; or a combination of features mutually agreeable to the parties. Such changes in the work schedule shall not alter the basis for, or entitlement to, receiving the same rights and privileges as those provided to employees on five (5) day, forty (40) hour a week schedules.

Employees covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to a minimum of 14 calendar days' notice if assigned to a different shift. Such changes will take place following completion ofthe employee's normal work week.

All classifications of employees having a normal work day of eight (8) hours within nine (9) hours may voluntarily work in flex-time programs authorized by appointing officers and may voluntarily work more than or less than eight (8) hours within twelve (12) hours, provided, that the employee must work five (5) days a week, eighty (80) hours per payroll period, and must execute a document stating that the employee is voluntarily participating in a flex-time program and waiving any rights he or she may have on the same subject.

III.B. WORK SCHEDULES I 09.

For all employees covered by the provisions of this MOU (except for classifications subject to the alternative work schedule within the Wastewater Enterprise who shall be compensated in conformity with the Work and Pay Rules attached hereto as Appendix "A") the normal work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours for Watch Engineers and eight (8) hours within eight and one-half (8-112) hours for maintenance engineers. Watch Engineers shall be permitted sixteen (16) hours off between the end of his or her regular shift and the beginning of his or her next shift. Maintenance engineers shall be permitted fifteen and one-half (15-112) hours offbetween the end of his or her shift and the beginning of his or her next shift. The normal work week for such classes shall be fatty (40) hours of five (5) consecutive days, except that engineers assigned to rotating shifts may work six (6) or seven (7) consecutive days before receiving their consecutive days off. Any work performed outside of this designated schedule shall be paid at the overtime rate of time-and-one-half (1-112). Except in emergency situations, the City and the Union agree that prior to any changes in '"'1it work schedules, the Union will be given notice and an opportunity to meet with the appropriate department(s) regarding the proposed change.

For the purpose of computing hours of work, work time will include: all regularly scheduled work; all work performed at the request of the employee's Supervisor or Manager; all time spent attending meetings, whether on or off the employee's regular work site, at the request of the employee's supervisor or manager or other manager with authority to call a meeting; and employees in classification 2806 and 2808 shall not be required to conduct follow-up home telephone calls after work hours.

A normal workday is a tour of duty of eight (8) hours completed within not more than nine (9) hours. A normal workweek is a tour of duty on each of five (5) days within a seven (7) day period. Any change to the current Monday through Friday work schedule or current work hours shall be subject to meet & confer as provided in Article LB. In addition, a shift often (10) hours or twelve (12) hours per day may be authorized by the Department as normal for employees covered by this CBA provided that the shift will not result in more than eighty (80) hours of scheduled work per payroll period.

Unless otherwise provided in this Agreement, a "normal work day" is a tour of duty of eight (8) hours completed within not more than nine (9) hours. HI.A. WAGES 144.

The wage rates for the employees covered by this agreement shall be rounded to the nearest salary grade. The Human Resources Department will prepare a salary grade to reflect the appropriate compensation for each classification covered by this Agreement as of July 1, 2014 no later than September 30, 2014. The Agreement shall be administratively amended 1:0 include the salary grade and shall be attached to the Agreement as Appendix B, with notice to the Union.

Represented employees will receive the following base wage increases: Effective as of the first full pay period beginning in October, 2014:

Effective July 1,2016, represented employees will receive a base wage increase between 2.25% and 3.25%, depending on inflation, and calculated as (2.00%:S CPI-U:S 3.00%) + 0.25%, which is equivalent to the CPI-V, but no less than 2% and no greater than 3%, plus 0.25%. Tncalculating CPI-V, the Controller's Office shall use the Consumer Price Index - All Urban Consumers (CPI-V), as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics for the San Francisco Metropolitan Statistical Area. The growth rate shall be calculated using the percentage change in price index from February 2015 to February 2016. III.B.

In addition to the general wage increases provided for above, additional pay increases and adjustments shall apply as described in this section. a. Fire Safety Inspector~

Parity. Fire Safety Inspectors shall receive parity on salary, overtime, holidays, and educational incentives as it pertains to the H-4 Inspector classification.

Fire Protection Engineers - Holidays. Fire Protection Engineers (5215) shall receive compensatory time equal to the computed rate authorized for the H-4 classification. The Fire Department may elect to suspend the compensatory time for the 5215 classification and replace it with income at the 5215's rate. Effective July 1, 2014 the base wage for classification 5215 Fire Protection Engineer shall be increased by 6%. 8177, 8181, 8182, 8183 and 8190. Due to the high level of responsibility required of senior attorneys at the Trial Attorney (8177), Assistant Chief Attorney (8181), Head Attorney (8182), Assistant Chief Attorney 2 (8183), and Office of Tax Collector Attorney (8190) levels, represented attorneys who have five consecutive years of service at the sixteenth step of the 8177 job code or five consecutive years of service at the fifth step of the 8181, 8182, 8183, or 8190 job code shall receive a two percent (2%) wage increase. Attorneys serving at the aforementioned fifth step of the 8181, 8182, 8183 or 8190 job code on July 1, 2014, shall immediately be credited with time served at those steps for purposes of the wage increase set forth in this paragraph and, as of July 1, 2014, shall receive the wage increase. The City agrees that the wage increase provided in this paragraph is a part of covered gross pay and, accordingly, is an element of compensation counted toward a represented attorney's retirement under SFERS. For the purposes of this section only, a represented attorney will be deemed to have five consecutive years of service at the sixteenth step of the 8177 or the fifth step of the 8181,8182,8183 or 8190 job code even if the represented attorney's service at the sixteenth or fifth step of such job code has been broken by a period of less than one year due to the represented attorney's service in another attorney job code in the City.

Time served in another attorney job code resulting from the attorney's promotion shall not be counted towards the five years of serv. ,; required at either step sixteen of the 8177 job code or step five in the 8181, 8182, 8183 or 8190 job code.

Time served in another attorney job code resulting from the attorney's demotion shall be counted towards the five years' service required < ': step sixteen in job code 8177 or step five in the 8181, ~182, 8183 or 8190 job code; however, the wage increase referenced in this section shall not take effect unless and until the attorney is returned
