FACIAL BLEACH

The use of chemical bleaches makes the skin dry. The skin loses its natural moisture and starts to age faster. Also, the softness and natural glow in the face fast disappears, making the skin look very coarse and lacking appeal. You can do the bleach at home with the following : Carrot, tomato, lime and corriander.

How to do it... Make a paste of the carrot. Squeeze the tomato with your hands and get the pulp. Juice of the lemon. Paste of the corriander.

Wash the face using a mild soap. Tone the face with a toner if you have access to it, or use the juice of a cucumber. Then mix all the pastes of lime, carrot, tomato and corriander. In case of sensitive skin, too much of lemon may irritate the skin. So take care depending on the skin type. In that case you can add honey, reducing the amount of lemon juice. Mix few s of milk in it to get the consistency of bleach. Apply it on your face. Wash it after 15 minutes.

Once in a week , this can be done which is harmless to your skin. One need to understand the nature of the ski and work accordingly to keep it beautiful and glowing. The first and foremost essential thing is to moisturise. This is most important part of daily skin care. Skin which looked good at winter may look dull in the summer because, in winter, skin's natural oils solidify whereas in summer they flow freely. Apply curd or buttermilk on the face and wash after 20 minutes. Crush sesame seed coarsely and soak in water overnight. Next day morning strain the water and use the white liquid to wash the face. Easy Facial Scrub to be prepared at home: Mix multani mitti, Channa Flour(Kondai kadali maavu) and sandalwood powder in equal quantities. Store in an air tight container. Apply this scrub once a week. This will help remove dead skin.

Extract the juice of half an orange or tomato, mix with two teaspoons of curd. Lightly massage onto your face in an upward direction. Let it dry. Then, wash your face with cold water and wipe dry. This will give your skin a nice glow. Rub the inner part of the skin of a papaya on your face. Let it dry. Then, wash your face with cold water and wipe dry. This will give your skin a nice glow. Whenever you cut a papaya to eat, save a small portion of the peel for this purpose. You can store the peel in an airtight container for about two days in the fridge; however, it is preferable to use it fresh. Grind 50 grams (around half a cup) of cabbage and extract the juice. Apply this on your face. After it dries, wash with cool water and wipe dry. This helps tighten your skin and prevents wrinkles. Grind one small carrot and squeeze the pulp to remove the juice. Apply the juice on your face and let it dry. Then, wash with cold water and wipe your face dry. This helps to rejuvenate your skin. Whenever eating an apple, do not discard the skin. Use it as a skin cleanser. Just rub the inner side of the peel in an upward direction and let your face dry. Then, wash with cool water and pat dry. This helps tighten your skin. Take an ice cube and rub on your face. Then, pat dry. This helps to improve blood circulation and keeps your skin healthy. Beat the white of one egg and apply on your face in an upward direction. Once it dries, wash with cold water. It helps tighten your skin and delays wrinkles. Make a paste of 2 tbsp of wheat flour using as much water as needed. Apply on your face in an upward motion. Leave to dry. Then, wash with cool water and pat dry. This helps remove excess oil from your skin. Mix two teaspoons of raw milk, around the same quantity of cucumber juice and few s of lemon. With a cotton ball, apply the solution on your face and leave to dry.Then, wash with water and pat dry. Soak two to three teaspoons of methi (fenugreek - vendhayam) seeds overnight. Grind into a paste, then rub on your face. Once it dries, wash with cool water. The granular effect helps remove blackheads. Methi also helps remove excess oil from your skin. The excess paste can be stored in the refrigerator but should be used within a week. Soak two to three teaspoons of whole masoor dal (red gram) overnight. Grind into a paste and apply on your face. Heaped spoon of milk powder, pinch of turmeric, and some honey apply on the face and wash after 15 mins. Healthy liver is critical for skin health. Drink juice of carrot, beet root, tomato everyday. Leave cucumber juice overnight on the face to remove tan.

Mayonnaise Hair conidtioner o Mayonnaise is good for hair conditioning. Take a cup of mayonnaise (depending on the length of the hair). Heat it lightly. Add 1 teaspoon of olive oil and mix it well. We your hair and apply the mixture on the hair. Leave it for 20 minutes. Then wash with shampoo. o You can also add curd instead of olive oil. Use the same procedure to condition your hair. Natural Saffron hair conditioner o Take few saffron and boil this in water. Let the solution cool. After this, add juice of 1 lemon. Apply this liquid on the scalp and the full length of hair. Leave it for 20 minutes. Wash your hair. Egg Hair Conditioner o Take 1 or 2 eggs depending on the length of hair. Beat the egg unitl it foams. Apply this on your hair for 10 minutes. Then wash your hair with shampoo. o Along with the egg add curd or olive oil and apply to the hair in case of dry hair. Banana Hair Conditioner o Take a ripe banana. Mash it. Wet your hair and apply the banana paste on the hair fully. Leave it for 20 minutes. Then wash your hair. This will moisturize and gives shine to the hair. o Add curd if required to the mashed banana before applying to the hair.

ACNE & PIMPLE

Acne and pimples are quite common among the teen agers. It is mostly caused because of oily food. So avoid juk and oily food. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Banana is a high source of potassium which will help to keep your skin young and beautiful. Natural Remedies for acne Sandalwood is a skin freshener with good fragrance. Make a paste of sandalwood with neem and thulasi(basil) powder and apply it to the face and affected areas after washing your face with clean water.

Lemon juice applied regularly to affected areas brings relief over time. Basil(thulasi) crushed and blended with mint and lemon juice applied on pimples helps in clearing acne very quickly. Garlic when rubbed on acne several times a day along with 3-4 pods taken internally can help in all skin affectations. A paste of fenugreek leaves(vendhaya keerai), applied over the face every night before going to bed and washed with warm water in the morning, prevents pimples and blackheads. Small pieces of cucumber when placed over the face, eyes and neck for fifteen to twenty minutes has been found to be effective. Regular use prevents pimples and blackheads. Most of all avoid junk food. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Eat fibre diet.

Relax your eyes o Have a good night sleep for minimum of 6 hours and maximum of 8 hours. Only the tiredness makes the dark circles prominent. o Wash your eyes with cold water. Splash cold water on the eyes after working for long hours before computer. o Drink plenty of water. 6 - 8 glasses of water is required for our body even in winter. Cucumber for Dark Cirlces o Take thin slices of cucumber. Lie down and place the cucumber slices on your eyes. Relax for 20 minutes. This will relieve all the tensions from the eyes. Do it once in a week to refresh your eyes. o You can also take cucumber juices. Dip a piece of cotton in cucumber juice, squeeze it to remove excess juice and place the cotton on your closed eyes after lying down. Potato for Dark Circles o Take thin slices of Potato. Lie down and place the potato slices on your eyes. Relax for 20 minutes. This will freshen your eyes. Do it twice a week to refresh your eyes. o You can also grate the potato. Place the grated potato on your closed eyes after lying down. Tomato juice with mint leaves(pudina) will help in keeping your skin fresh. This is one of the natural remedy to get rid of the dark circles. Almond oil is good for skin. It is also good for getting rid of dark circles. Apply almond(baadaam oil) around the eyes in the night. Wash it in the morning. Do it continuously to remove dark circles. Rose Water is another natural ingredient for beauty. Dip a cotton ball in rose water. Keep this balls on your closed eyes. This is an excellent method of refreshing eyes.

EYE CARE

Dip cotton balls in a chilled mixture of cucumber and potato juice. Keep this on your eyelids for 15 to 20 minutes and gently wash it off. Apply a little baby oil.

For long eyelashes, apply a thin coat of castor oil every night. It strengthens lashes and cools your eyes.

Massage a few s of coconut oil around the eyes to get rid off dark circles. To reduce puffiness of your eyes, grate a potato; tie in a cloth and place the cloth over your eyes for about 15 minutes. Add a small pinch of salt in water and wash for bright and sparkling eyes. Mix tomato juice and lemon juice in equal quantity and apply around the eyes. After 30 minutes wash it off with cold and hot water alternatively. Make a paste of sandal wood and nutmeg. Apply the paste around the eyes before sleeping and wash it off in the morning. Crush a cucumber and take the juice. Add a little rose water and apply around the eyes and wash it after 30 minutes. Place cotton balls dipped in cold milk on closed eyes for removing dark circles.

Gently massage your scalp with fingertips after applying a hair oil like coconut oil or sesame oil. Eat Indian gooseberry in any form early in the day. Don¶t take gooseberry based products later in the night as it can affect your beautiful dental line. Boil fresh or dried and powdered Indian gooseberry (also called Nellikai or amla) in coconut oil. Squeeze half a lemon to half a liter of water and rinse your hair and scalp with this water as a cure to dandruff. Do this no more than three times a week and for up to a month. Crush a few leaves and flowers of hibiscus (shoe flower) with two or three glasses of water. The water becomes thick with the juice and use this water to wash your hair. Thoroughly cleanses your hair and gives dark bright color to your hair. Never apply soap or high power shampoo on your head, as it can affect healthy growth of hair.
