My discipline has not been specified in the ‘Basic registration details’ section. Can I apply against the Post of Management Trainee?

I have a BE / B Tech degree in Automobile/ Industrial/Production/Manufacturing branch / discipline. But this branch has not been specified in the detailed advertisement. Can I apply against the Post of Management Trainee (Mechanical)?

There is no relaxation in terms of qualifying cut off marks in Education Qualification for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.

I belong to OBC category. My caste name is included in my state list of OBC. However, in the Central list of OBC, my caste name does not appear. Am I eligible to appear as OBC-NCL candidate?

For OBC-NCL candidates, candidates whose caste is included in the Central List of OBC , as given on National Commission on Backward Classes website http://www.ncbc.nic.in/ , will be considered.

My final year/semester result is not yet declared. I had given final year/ semester exams in mid-2014. Am I eligible to apply?

You may apply by providing aggregate marks obtained up to la st result declared. The aggregate marks secured should not be less than minimum qualifying percentage marks/CGPA/CPI as advertised. Your final selection in EIL is subject to securing aggregate marks not less than minimum qualifying percentage marks / CGPA / CPI as, advertised.

Can a candidate having done AMIE apply for the post of Management Trainee?

Candidates with full time B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. (Engg.) can only apply. In view of this, AMIE qualification does not fulfil the requirement and as such, you are not eligible to apply.

Since the qualifying cut off marks is 65%, candidates with marks less than 65% are not eligible to apply.

I have secured 7.1 CGPA and equivalent %age of marks comes to 64%. Both CGPA and equivalent %age have been mentioned on my mark sheet. What am I supposed to enter in the application form?

You are required to enter marks as per grading system followed by your institute/university. If your Institute/ University awards marks on %age basis, you are supposed to enter the aggregate %age marks secured by you. However, if CGPA/CPI system is followed, you must enter CGPA/CPI secured by you.

I am not sure about the recognition of my degree, can I apply?

Requisite qualification should be a full time course from Indian University / Institute recognized by AICTE / UGC/ appropriate statutory authority.

Can I send a Cheque/ Demand Draft / Pay Order for payment of fees?

No. Only the payment modes available in Step 2, are to be used for making payment.

Will EIL refund the registration amount in case my candidature is rejected due to any reason?

Step 01 i.e “Basic Registration details” cannot be edited. Therefore, in case you have entered wrong details in step 01, you have to register again with a different e-mail id.
Step 03 i.e. “Final Registration” details can be edited till final confirmation of filled in details is given by clicking ‘Confirm’ button in Step 03. Once ‘Confirm’ button is clicked, the application will be successfully registered. The same can be done till last date of registration i.e. 04.11.2014 . Q 16
I have filled the online application form. Where do I send the application form?

You are not required to send the print out of the application to EIL. You should retain a print out of your on-line application for future reference.

The written test is tentatively scheduled in 1 week of December, 2014. However, it is liable to change. The confirmed date for written test will be notified on our official website in due course of time.

The examinaon will be of 2 hours duraon and candidates will have to answer 150 quesons (mulple choice, objecve type). The Written Test will have two parts, viz, 50 quesons will be from general th aptitude and 100 from the qualifying course. Each question shall carry 1 mark and 1/4 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The test will be in English language. General Aptitude will cover the following: General Awareness covering economics, industry, oil & energy, world affairs, Indian culture, sports etc. English Language proficiency covering Reading comprehension, English language usage and grammar Quantitative Aptitude & Reasoning

The CGPA scale followed by my Institute is on 10 point scale, but the default scale is 4-point during Step 01. How can I change the scale to 10-point?

Candidates should only use Internet explorer for the registration process. The drop-down for CGPA/CPI may not appear for other browser viz. Google chrome, Mozilla etc.
