What we are learning… In Reading- The story this week is “Poppleton Everyday”. Our phonics study is long u with the silent e at the end of a word.
In Writing- We are working on having a topic sentence, three details, and a concluding sentence. The children are using a planning sheet to aid them.
In Math-We are studying place value. The children are learning about making groups of tens and what that means when reading numbers with two or more digits. In Science-We will learn about the water cycle.
. Help Needed! *Please remember your snack day. If you
happen to forget, please send in a replacement for when someone else forgets. *Many children have been complaining of being tired. Please help us help your child learn by making sure they go to bed at a reasonable time (8:00 for first graders). I know that it is a busy time of year, but your child’s learning depends on her/him being well rested.

HEALTHY SNACKS FOR 21 CHILDREN AND 2 ADULTS. PLEASE SEND IN CUPS IF YOU SEND JUICE.
