About: It is steering systems which drive four wheel vehicles and control the
movement of all four wheels simultaneously of them like cars. This model
works on principle of fundamental equation of correct gearing. When vehicle
take turn towards one side, vehicle will move about vertical axis through
instantaneous centre. Instantaneous centre lie middle of vertical axis.
Current technique: At present day four wheel system succeed by using gears.
They give enough reduction in turning radius of vehicle. But it is very costly
system.
Innovation: This steering system is capable of moving all four wheels of
vehicle simultaneously. This is mechanical linkage system, which transfer the
control motion from steering wheel to wheels of vehicle. Mechanical linkage is
symmetrical about its steering wheel. This system is reduced turning enough
and cost of vehicles is less comparatively current technique.
Application: This steering system are applicable on lane change at high
speed , taking U-turn with stability of vehicle, straight line motion ,
parking of vehicle in less space etc.
