Google SEO news 6-10 6. Google for Pakistan Tourism Pakistan tourism board has enlisted the help of internet giant Google to promote historical and tourismworthy locations by including them in Google maps. Pakistan’s most populous province of Punjab is the first to gain from this new development, with the ‘memorandum of cooperation in information technology ‘being signed at the Arfa Karim Software Technology Park in Lahore. Tourists will soon be able to use Google maps to locate historical locations of modern and ancient Lahore and also discover the province’s cultural heritage. However, this isn’t the first time that Google and Pakistan have collaborated to aid the country’s requirements. In fact, Google has also been engaged in flood relief activities for Pakistan in 2010. This certainly serves as proof of Google’s popularity offline as well as online http://ibnlive.in.com/news/pak-signs-pact-with-google-to-promote-tourist-sites/228052-11.html

7. Facebook/Google and the Censor Board Looks like Kapil Sibal is winning after all. An Indian court has ordered 21 online technology companies including Google and Facebook to remove content that it considers to be inappropriate or offensive. Google had previously managed to ignore any requests for removal of content. However, with the company looking to foray into new markets; compliance may no longer be a matter of choice. In fact, local reports indicate that the Indian branches of both companies- Google and Facebook- have agreed to the request by the New Delhi court and will remove any content that is offensive in either a religious or social context. But will this move appease a country where people value their freedom of uncensored net surfing? Only time can tell. http://searchenginewatch.com/article/2144353/Google-Facebook-Agree-to-Censor-Content-in-India

This is of course, Google’s answer to negative reports about the security of its Google platform and has definitely helped make it safer for users. However, research and analyst reports in recent months have warned against a significant rise in Android Malware levels.
