2002-2004: Graphic Designer & Customer Service Representative ColorCentral Knoxville, Tennessee During my time at ColorCentral, clients learned to come to me for a multitude of needs, from help in meeting tight deadlines to technical support. Primary responsibilities: Logging-in and assignment of client jobs; providing estimates; assuring project deadlines were met. Pre-flighting of client files to ensure accuracy before film output. Creation of a multitude of documents for pre-press. 1999-2002 and 2009-2011: Graphic Designer Burns Mailing & Printing, Inc. Kn oxville, Tennessee Primary responsibilities: Creation of a multitude of documents for pre-press (from business cards to mult i-page books). Pre-flighting of client files to ensure accuracy before film output. Conferring with clients who sought the services of a designer. Provided technical support for in-house computers. 1999: Graphic Designer PlastiLine Powell, Tennessee Primary responsibilities: Creation of documents showing how buildings would look when signs were replaced . Involved removing old sign and replacing it with EPS of new sign using Photos hop. Creation of maps showing location of signage using Illustrator. 1998-1999: Customer Interface Agent ORCMT (a division of Y-12) Oak Ridge, T ennessee Primary responsibilities: Created and developed PowerPoint presentations and documents on Microsoft Word. Provided technical assistance to various computer users at ORCMT. Interfaced with customers and technical staff. Performed an assortment of staff support duties. 1997-1998: Editor, Graphic Designer, Cast On Magazine The Knitting Guild of America Knoxville, Tennessee Cast On is the official journal of The Knitting Guild of America. My primary du ty was to generate the magazine, published five times a year. Primary responsibilities: Prepared the magazine for pre-press, including scanning and adjustment of photo graphs, editing of copy, creation of advertisements, etc. Solicited submissions for the magazine. Procured materials for designers from numerous companies. Additional duties: Produced peripheral brochures. Responsible for official response to electronic mail inquiry.

1992-1997: Assistant Editor, Graphic Designer, Columnist The Knoxville Journ al Knoxville, Tennessee I had a unique position in my office, as I was the only one who could do my job. Therefore, I took my responsibilities very seriously, worked whether sick or w ell, and stayed for as long as it took to ensure that the job was completed accu rately, attractively and on time. Primary responsibilities: Produced all advertisements. Edited and typeset copy. Designed and developed newspaper layout. Wrote a weekly column under the name M. Ilene Meyers. Additional duties: Trained new employees in computer usage. Produced all in-house documents: forms, letterhead, flyers, business cards, ra te cards, signs, etc. Performed all computer-related set-up, maintenance, purchasing and troubleshoot ing. Constructed layout of the paper. Created PMTs and half-tones. Additional duties: Produced all in-house documents, including forms, flyers, business cards, lette rhead, etc. Summer 1987: Technical Writer (Internship) Critikon, Inc., Tampa, Florida Critikon is a family company of Johnson & Johnson which manufactures medical dia gnostic equipment and catheters. During the course of my internship, I designed and produced several instructional leaflets and pamphlets which were used as te chnical support for their products.
