Hard Disk drive
A device installed in the computer capable of storing large capacity of information.

How does the hard disk store data?
Data is stored in many 1's and 0's. These binary digits are arranged in different ways to represent different characters. When these are read back by the head the data is retrieved and processed.

A file system is the way in which your computer stores data on the hard disk.

- SCSI is most commonly used for hard disks and tape drives, but it can connect a wide range of other devices, including scanners and CD drives.
