HopeSpring has an exciting opportunity for a progressive, results‐oriented fundraising professional, as Manager of Philanthropy. of  Philanthropy. The Manager will provide leadership and direction in establishing a sustainable fundraising strategy. They will be responsible for the strategy, planning, and overseeing of all of  all fundraising activities. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager of  Development will ensure that the fundraising program will support, complement, contribute to, and leverage the goals and priorities of HopeSpring. of  HopeSpring. Responsibilities 



 

 

Plan and implement a comprehensive and sustainable development strategy with a focus on major gifts and planned giving Leading process of identification, of  identification, research, cultivation, solicitation, recognition and stewardship of prospects of  prospects and donors Oversee the direction of our of  our volunteer base of fundraising of  fundraising staff and staff  and volunteers Oversee the preparation, planning and implementation of special of  special event/ third party initiatives as appropriate Identify and implement social media opportunities Develop and manage the annual budget for fundraising

Qualifications 



   

  

Diploma from a recognized institution in business, communications, sales and marketing or a related field Minimum of  5 years successful professional fund raising experience in a community based environment including: annual fund, major gift solicitation, leadership giving programs, gift planning etc. Proven ability to solicit and secure individual and corporate gifts Knowledge of current of  current trends in the field of philanthropy of  philanthropy Knowledge of and of  and ability to effectively utilize local community resources Strong project management, interpersonal and team building skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, donors, volunteers and stake holders Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and negotiation skills Access to transportation and willingness to travel within the region





Solid knowledge of computer applications, data base management and Social Media (we use a SUMAC database) Satisfactory police records search and vulnerable sector screening
