How do you protect yourself from stress?
BeiYin: We shouldn't fall into the trap giving the fault to the stress when the
signs of disturbance are showing up on different levels of our being. Stress is not something that comes from the outside to you and you are the victim of it. We are the only ones who are causing the stress and not just outside conditions or situations or people. It is our specific personal attitude when confronting outside happenings, that is causing our stress reactions. It is our 'program' running at our unconscious background that triggers these 'tense reactions', showing up in body, mind and emotions. That is felt as 'stress' and the most serious is, that this tension accumulates and then brings our whole system out of balance. We are trying to help ourselves with what is offered in our society to calm us down or give us a boost. Nicotine, alcohol, coffee, cocaine and then all those 'natural' and chemical remedies called 'medication', that is worldwide available and used as common ways to get rid of unwanted and uncomfortable symptoms. The side effects are known, but easily ignored... The stress continues, even stronger, because our system has to deal with all the poison we are putting into our body. Then serious symptoms on all levels of our system are showing up: Pain in muscles, malfunction of organs, loss of memory, weird thoughts, depressions and so on. Of course we want to get rid of all this as fast as possible and our established health system serves us the best possible with all kind of medication and if these don't help any more then surgery will do it. Isn't it obvious, that there is something completely going wrong? Probably every body knows this, but all are trapped in an established system that is ruled by money and the power of people who found their sense and the meaning for their existence in this system. The mass of people just follows without questioning anything. ”That's what it is...” and has formed our habits, attitudes, world view, our self image, our goals, our dreams, our beliefs and all the concepts we have gathered and are part of our 'knowledge' and personality. How do we protect ourselves from stress? By changing our attitude, our world view and our self image that are causing the stress. We don't need an 'protection', because WE ARE the stress! -1-

How can we get out of this trap?
Stress accumulates and so is the first step that ones system gets out of balance, - with the result of all kind of disturbance on all levels: Body, mind and emotions. To deal with ones stress it is not just about 'Stress Management'. It would be more important to avoid stress. It should be better known why stress builds up and how one could change this. There is little information available about it. Or better said: There is enough information, but hardly any body is asking for it, because all are so occupied with dealing with their daily life and even though serious damage is showing up, people don't question their situation and condition. Out of their total dependency, they just seek help from the same established system, called 'health care'. Never taking self responsibility, but trusting 'authorities'! It would be important not to let it happen that stress accumulates too much and that one can release it before it causes damage. There are various ways for this and if you ask for it, then you will find out. The most important without doubt is, that stress doesn't show up in the first place. So one needs to find out what is causing it. Right? You might argue, that stress happens because what one is encountering in ones daily life doesn't fit to the way one wants it and so the most easy way would be just to accept what is there. As a concept this sounds good, but it doesn't work because our desire based on our established world view and self image is strong and wants to be realized and confirmed, for this we are fighting. Even though 'accepting' unfavorable situations, one will react. Maybe not showing it at the outside, but stress will accumulate anyway. Humans are masters in manipulating all and every thing and so what they do in the case of stress they make the system dull and dumb, so that also reactions on a deeper level are not triggered. With this causing even more damage, as it inhibits the individual *growth* that only can happen when *awareness* is expanding, this happens when ones unconscious background is cleared up and this only is possible when one is reacting to outside influences and becomes aware of the background reason. -2-

What is the logical consequence?
The logical consequence in our thought process would be, that we don't do any kind of manipulation on our system to avoid unwanted reactions. Instead of this relating and responding to whatever shows up in our daily life and within ourselves the best we can, out of our awareness we are capable, - as limited it might be... Yes, you are right: This is 'real work' and as it is part of 'human nature' to be lazy, so we do and work only if we are motivated enough by receiving a reward for our doing. But then of course, having goals that are coming out of the program of our society, we need to struggle with the outside daily reality and then stress is inevitable. So this kind of work serves only to keep us busy in a system within our common 'fake reality'. It doesn't need so much to realize, that the only *real work* worth doing is to get out of dependencies, taking self responsibility and freeing oneself from the slavery of the straitjacket of ones personality. Not by eliminating something, not outside and not inside, but by clearing up oneself and getting out and free from manipulations and the traditional programming that has been done since beginning of mankind. Indeed, not an easy process, but worth the effort! What will be the reward of this *real work*? Better you don't go from one concept and dependency into another, not even a more sophisticated one. Listen to yourself and sense what feels right, then do it! You need to develop your intuition. You can see this work as an adventure and a challenge. That is the most real at this moment possible. Are you ready for it?

What are effective steps in this *growing process*?
Be conscious about the fact that this is an 'awareness process'. It's not a 'goal' to be reached at moments further on, like you are used until now. Whatever shows up in your daily life, that is your opportunity and will have passed if you don't relate and respond at the same moment! After some time you will find out, that whatever shows up, that this is the best what there can be to serve you in your growing. This will help you, because out of this trust, you will be able to open yourself and you can drop your defense you had until now. That makes it much more easy and *creative* and the best, and you can see it as a reward, is that maybe the first time in your life, you can *enjoy* your life! - Go for it!!! - 3 -
