Part 1

Is Lead Generation Right For Your Business?
Are You Doing It Right?
Most business owners that I run into think that getting their website to the top of the Google Search Rankings is the best they can do in terms of “Online Lead Generation” for their business. While having top search engine rankings is a great way to increase traffic, there are a lot of aspects that go into making it successful. You need to think about other lead generating traffic sources as well as optimizing your online real estate that you are driving traffic too. What do I mean by that? Well, are you driving traffic to your website? If yes, then do you have a clear call to action on your website and a way to “capture” email addresses so that you can follow up with your leads? If no, how has that worked out for you? I can almost guarantee your website is of no financial benefit to your business if you don't have a clear call to action on it. That's one of the easiest and fastest things you can do to increase your leads/call backs. Make it clear as day as to what you want your visitor to do once they get to your website. It needs to be one of the first things they see! Some examples of “Call to Actions”:
– – – –

Tell them to call you with an incentive included. Have them Opt In to receive a free report about something relative to your business. Tell them to follow you on Facebook. ETC....

3

No Traffic = No Leads
You can have the best lead capture page or the best “call to action” on your website but what use is it if you can't drive any targeted traffic to your site? I already mentioned SEO (Search Engine Optimization) as one traffic source. Search engine optimization is a great way to drive targeted “free” traffic to your websites. The issue I have with SEO is while it's free, you also are trading a ton of time to move your site up in the Search Engines (usually months). It is truly an art. For Lead Generation I recommend using “Paid” traffic sources for quick results/leads. One of the best ways to generate leads quickly is via Pay Per Click (PPC). Pay Per Click in essence is an ad that you create on a particular search engine or Facebook, and when users type in a specific keyword relative to your ad, your ad will show up. If they click on your ad you are then charged a small fee. (Cost per click will vary on how popular a particular keyword is. The more popular a keyword the more expensive it's going to be per click) This is hands down the fastest way to start generating leads today. You can eventually narrow it down to a science where you know exactly how much you will spend to get a lead and how much profit you will earn from each lead. Some of the best platforms for Pay Per Click are: -Google Adwords -Facebook -Yahoo/Bing There are definitely other traffic sources but for the money, pay per click wins almost every time.

Other Traffic Sources To Consider
Craigslist-Craigslist is one of the most “trafficked” websites in the world. People are always on Craigslist looking for stuff including what you have to offer. It's free as well so it wouldn't hurt to throw up a few ads and generate some traffic to your website or your landing page. Solo Ads-This traffic method is great for “quick” traffic as well. It normally costs money but there are plenty of people in your niche that have huge email lists that you can pay to send a message out to their list. That message should of course have a link to your website or landing page in it.
4

Video Marketing-Sites such as Youtube have a TON of viewers everyday. In fact, YouTube is in the top 5 of most “trafficked” sites. The great thing about Youtube is that they are owned by Google so it's very likely for your Video to show up in the search engines if you do the proper “SEO” steps. There are sites like Animoto.com that allow you to easily create custom videos to make your business look professional. You can then upload those videos to Youtube and then do the proper SEO steps. Social Media Marketing-Unless you've been hiding under a rock you should have a pretty good idea about the power of Social Media now a days. To put it into perspective, if Facebook was a country it would be the 3rd Largest Country. It only makes sense to utilize a platform with that kind of reach. Direct Mail-Less and less people have been using Direct Mail as a traffic/lead generation method which means the competition is low! If you can craft a nice ad then I would HIGHLY recommend using Direct Mail in your business.

Part 2

Does Your Business Need A Mobile Site? Mobile Site Vs. Standard Site
So I hear all the time, “I have a website, why do I need a mobile website?” In fact, you may be thinking this exact same thing. Let me explain. In today's world, more and more people are accessing the internet via their smart phones. In fact, by 2014 mobile WIFI access is expected to surpass fixed internet access. What does this mean? This means that your customers, your leads, and your prospects are visiting your website from their smart phones. But, why is this a problem? Well, if you have a Mobile website, then there is no problem! However, if you have a standard site and you don't have a “mobile optimized” site, there is a good chance your visitors are going to move on to your competitors sites which “ARE” mobile optimized. If you're still confused, let me show you the difference between a standard site and a mobile website.

7

Can you see the difference? Which site would you rather view on your smart phone? It's a no-brainer right? Standard sites are not made to fit on a smart phone. You need to make sure that you have a mobile optimized version of your website. Don't worry though, in a few minutes I'll explain how you can personally go about making sure that your website is “mobile optimized” in the next day or two. But before that, let's talk about some benefits of having a Mobile version of your Website “just in case” you still don't see the importance of a Mobile Optimized Site. Benefits of a Mobile Optimized Website: User Friendly: Businesses can display basic services and contact information in a clearer way so viewers can load the website very quickly and "click-to-call" you.
– – The Future: All trends are pointing to the overwhelming possibility that

mobile internet access will surpass fixed internet access by 2014 Local: One-half of all Internet searches for LOCAL products and services are performed from mobile devices.
– –

More Visibility: Mobile-friendly websites receive higher mobile search engine rankings. Plus many more! But that's the gist of it!

8

Startling Stats
I really want to hit home that “Mobile” is the future so I want to show you some startling facts in regards to the future of Mobile. -74% of consumers will wait 5 seconds for a web page to load on their mobile device before abandoning the site. (Source:Gomez) -46% of consumers are unlikely to return to a mobile site if it didn't work properly during their last visit. (Source:Gomez) -71% of mobile browsers expect web pages to load almost as quickly or faster as web pages on their desktop computers. (Source:Gomez) -One half of all local searches are performed on mobile devices. (Source:Microsoft Tag) -24% of US tablet owners use their tablets to shop 2-3 times per month; 20% use them to shop more than once per week; and 12% use them to shop every day! (Source:eMarketer) -91% of mobile internet access is for social activities, versus just 79% on desktops. (Source:Microsoft Tag)

9

Ahead Of Your Competitors
While mobile is catching on quickly. There is still a great opportunity to get in ahead of your competition. 70% of business owners that “have” a website “STILL” don't have a mobile optimized website. However, that number is very indicative to the fact that business owners ARE catching on to their importance since that number was at 83% a year ago. However, this is a GREAT time to get in ahead of the majority of your competitors and there are positive ramifications if you do. One major “positive” ramification being increased visibility in the search engines. Mobile websites have their own set of algorithm. Meaning, if you have a site on the top of the search engines for a specific keyword, there is no guarantee that it will show up on a mobile device...especially if you don't have a mobile optimized version of your site. The search engines can read if it's a mobile site or if it's a standard site and they then rank the mobile site higher than any standard site. It is not my intent to teach you SEO in this report, it is far too complex to try to explain in a few short pages but just know that you will be far ahead of your competitors by simply making sure you have a Mobile version of your website.

10

Visibility
After you’ve built your mobile site, you’ll want to ensure that it can be found by your target market. As I said, you will have increased exposure just from the simple act of creating a mobile version of your site. Some website owners let their visitors know that they have a mobile version of their site right on their main site. Personally, I don’t like this approach. It forces the visitor to see the “non-mobilefriendly” website, and only displays the mobile version if they are fortunate enough to find the aforementioned link. Instead, you can employ a “user agent redirect script” on your regular website. This way, your website will determine which “user agent” (just a fancy way of determining which browser is being used to access the website) is being used by the visitor. If it detects that a “mobile browser” is being used, it automatically displays the mobilefriendly version of the website. This is far better as the visitor will see a pleasing layout right away… one that is optimized for a mobile device and one that can be easily navigated. Still, I would suggest you provide your visitors a way of seeing your regular website if they really want to. Many “user agent redirect scripts” have a specific function that allows the script to be bypassed. If yours does, you can add a link to view your regular website. In addition to using a “user agent redirect script,” I do suggest you optimize your mobile site for the search engines (SEO), and do your best to ensure that your current customers know about your new mobile site. Some ideas include… ·Sending out an email newsletter that “unveils” your new mobile site ·Alerting your “fans” (via Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, etc.) about your new mobile site ·Making a blog post about your new mobile website and asking for comments/feedback. ·Including a QR Code on the back of your business card that takes the user straight to your mobile site. Of course, there are many other ways to market your mobile site, but these ideas will certainly help you jump start your marketing efforts.

11

Conclusion
This report is coming to a close but you may be still wondering how you can go about getting a mobile version of your site. Well there are plenty of “Free” builders you can use online and do it yourself, however they aren't very versatile.

Part 3 Reputation Management – A Must For

Your Business

What Is Reputation Management
First things first, lets’ define what Reputation Management is…. It’s the practice of understanding or influencing an individual or business brand. I’ll break it down a little more… In a nutshell, online reputation management is the practice of making people and businesses “like yours” look their best on the internet. To accomplish that, people need to control their online search results because they frequently contain inaccurate, misleading or outdated material which can adversely influence how your customers will view you! However, controlling search results isn’t the only goal of online reputation management. Since where someone lives, their income and their marital status all affect the perception of a person, it’s important to prevent private information from being made public as well. Online reputation management became necessary with the advent of social networks, online forums, blogs and other forms of online communication and information sharing. But since current laws are insufficient to prevent total strangers from damaging your online reputation… online reputation management is now critical. Even if you don’t have any damning reviews online, reputation management is still for you. I’ll explain throughout this report. Alright, hopefully you have a decent idea on what online reputation management is but let’s now get into “why” it’s important to you and your business!

Why Managing It Is Important!
So, why is it important? Reason 1 is, if you catch it early you can develop and maintain your reputation!
14

Nearly 80 percent of all consumers will research a business online prior to giving that company their patronage. If a potential customer decides to scour the web for your business and is confronted with numerous negative comments, they may quickly consider going to your competitor instead. Social media sites, as well as forums and discussion boards, can easily become a breeding ground for negative remarks. The key is to find an Online Reputation Company that can properly manage your online real estate to ensure only the positive information regarding your business is displayed on social media sites and other areas of the web, and they will also work to encourage more positive postings from happy customers! Another Important Reason it’s important is because it can help increase the visibility or your Website. Gaining a top position in the search engines is a great way to increase the online visibility of your company. Most consumers looking for a specific business don’t make it past the first page of the search engine results so having your business in one of the top 5 positions is your best bet for obtaining new business. By managing your business’ online reputation on a regular basis through content creation, keywords, and other various SEO techniques, your company will be more likely to obtain a higher in the search engines and maintain control of their position providing a higher likelihood of gaining new clients. Again, if you find a good Online Reputation Company… they can ensure you put your business on the right track! The Major Reason why Online Reputation Management is so important is you have the ability to choose how your target audience sees your business! You can build brand trust by only allowing certain information to enter search engines and social media networks, you can deliver a trustworthy image of your company to your potential patrons. This is especially important for businesses heavily involved in social networking. If a customer sees your company conveying one image on one site, and a different image on another site, they will feel as though you aren’t credible, and will be more likely to take their business elsewhere. Customers like to feel as though they are purchasing products and services from a trustworthy source and online reputation management can help you maintain the web consistency needed to convey this type of image.

15

Startling Stats
Let’s now discuss some important stats in regards to why you should start implement Reputation Management… regardless of your current online reputation. First of all… 78% of consumers trust what their peers say. This goes back to review sites, it’s important to urge your happy customers to leave positive reviews about your business. Giving some sort of an incentive is a good idea! Give out $5 gift cards to Starbucks for those that leave a review. Give out some type of discount for those that agree to leave a review… get creative with it, but they key is to urge your happy customers to leave a review! Also, according to compete.com Traffic to the top 10 review sites grew on average 158% last year! I’m sure you understand what that means but more than ever, people are going to review sites before they purchase or before the pick a particular business to do business with… it doesn’t matter your industry! Let me rattle off a few more Powerful Stats! According to Comscore… 97% who made a purchase based on an online review found the review to be accurate! People trust and believe Review sites! 51% of consumers use the Internet even before making a purchase in shops … according to verdict research.. 92% have more confidence in information found online than from a salesclerk or other source (Wall Street Journal)
61% of people rely on user reviews for product information or research before a buying decision is made. (Razorfish)

34% have turned to social media to air their feelings about a company. 26% to express dissatisfaction, 23% to share companies or products they like. 75% of people don’t believe that companies tell the truth in advertisements (Yankelovich) I don’t know what to tell you if those stats don’t say enough about why you should start making sure your Online Reputation is up to par. People more than ever, are trusting their peers, review sites, social media.. opposed to advertisements created by your business. It’s time to make sure your business is being perceived as trusted and credible by your consumers!
16

Monitor and Influence
Let’s get into the benefits of monitoring and influencing your online image. First off… You have control. When you or your reputation management company monitor your reputation you are in control of the reviews that get posted about your business. If you aren’t monitoring it, you have no control and you have no idea when negative reviews are being thrown around about your business. Also, you can control positive reviews by influencing consumers to post positive reviews about your company. As I mentioned a couple minutes ago… giving out coupons or other incentive based promises allow you to have your happy customers go post a positive review about you and your company right away! This is a great way to get positive reviews. If you’re asking, why can’t I just go online and make up reviews. For one, that’s not ethical and for 2, review sites can track your IP address and the reviews you post won’t stick. Sure they might for a day or 2 but they will eventually be taken down, so it’s not worth your time. Plus if you’re running an ethical business in general, you should have no problem getting happy customers to post a review about your business. Monitoring your reputation also allows you to catch any negative reviews a disgruntled customer may post. Now you can’t really do anything about this unless you contact the customer directly, but you can offset it with ramping up the number of positive reviews you get. Meaning, ramping up the number of customers you ask to leave a review for you. Or… and this is the worst case scenario, if they post on a site like ripoffreport.com and the report is showing up when your business name is googled… you can make sure that you start countering it asap. The longer a negative review actually sits in the search results for a specific keyword, the harder it will be to move down in the rankings. That’s another reason that monitoring your reputation is so important… you can catch anything that’s fishy or damning to your business early on. The last benefit I’m going to go over is, you’ll be ahead of the majority of your competition. Why, you ask? Because they simply don’t know how to go about doing this and they don’t see its importance like you do now.
17

Put yourself in your consumer’s shoes. If you were looking for “their industry” and you saw one business with 45 positive reviews and another one with 1 or 2 reviews, who would you choose? Exactly! You want to be the business with 45 positive reviews! This is only going to enhance the public perception about your business and I guarantee it will have a positive effect as well on your bottom line! There really isn’t one negative I can think of when it comes to implementing Reputation Management, other than the fact that it can be a pain if you already have negative reviews. Monitor and influence it before that’s ever an issue!

2 Simple Tips
There are 2 simple tips that you can implement today to make sure you’re getting positive reviews. The first, I have mentioned a couple times already. Give out a coupon or some incentive to make sure your happy customers are going home and leaving you a review. If they have a smart phone you can give them the coupon, gift card, or whatever you decide.. on the spot if they go to a review site and leave you a review right then and there. That’s the route I recommend! Secondly you can add an email capture form to your website. You can get opt ins by giving a free report, a coupon, a gift card… once they have opted in and are in your database you can send out content that will benefit them as well as an invite to leave a review about your business. This report isn’t about how to actually do that but if you need help setting that up on your website, contact me and I will gladly help.

False Assumptions
Let’s dive into the myths now about Online Reputation Management… The first one I hear ALL the time is “ I don’t have any negative reviews so I am fine, I don’t need it”
18

Wrong, Wrong, Wrong… As I have mentioned previously, you want to influence the positive perception of your business as much as you can. I don’t care if you already have 10 positive reviews and you’re in the number one spot on Google for your keyword… you want to make it an absolute NO BRAINER on who your potential customer should buy from. Turn those 10 positive reviews into 50+ and watch your bottom line explode. I guarantee it! I also here, “most of my business comes from word of mouth referrals, why do I need reputation management”. And I follow with, I think you just answered your question for me. Reputation management online is pretty much the same exact thing. The more positive reviews you get the more business you will get. Every positive review acts as a friend saying “yea this company is great for xyz”… just like a referral!
