(1) Evernote software overview
Evernote is a suite of software and services designed for notetaking and archiving. A "note" can be a text, pictures, a webpage or excerpt, a voice memo, or a handwritten "ink" note. Notes can also have file attachments. Notes can be sorted into folders, then edited, given comments, exported and shared as a notebook
Evernote is an ideal way of collecting content and conducting research and sharing that information with us or visa versa.
We use Evernote to:
1) Give you a central place to collect, store, share and back up website files with us 2) Allow you to centralise your research 3) Collaborate with us on your web design and digital marketing project

(2) New Account Creation
Step 1 Go to Evernote: Open your internet browser, at the very top of the the screen in the address ba type in www.evernote.com and click the Enter key on your keyboard. The Evernote website will appear, click on the Create Account tab (Fig 2) to proceed

Step 2 Complete Registration Form
On the right hand side of your screen you will see a Registration form that will allow you to create a new account with Evernote.
You will not be asked to provide any payment details as Evernote is 100% free.
1) Use your preferred email address to sign up 2) Enter your business name in Username field 3) Create a new password (record it safely) 4) Press the Register button to proceed
Step 4 Confirm Email Address Part 1 Once you press Register a screen will appear asking you to enter a confirmation code to confirm your email address. We will be bypassing this procedure. Open the email address you provided Evernote at the beginning of the account creation process Fig 3
Confirm Email Address Part 2 Open the email address you provided Evernote at the beginning of the account creation process. The email will be entitled Getting Started with Evernote. Fig 4 Fig 2. Click on ‘Confirm Registration’
You will see a green button on your screen entitled Confirm Registration. By clicking this button you have confirmed your account, bypassing the need to enter a confirmation code as shown in Fig 3 (above)
(3) Download Evernote; PC and Mac
Once your have confirmed your new Evernote account you will need to download and install the software on your hard drive to access the full features. You should see the screen in the figure below (Fig 5) in your browser screen. The option to download the software for Windows will be available (alternatively if you are installing the software on an Apple machine please click on Get Evernote for mobile, tablet and other devices and click through to Download Evernote for Mac OS X). If you cannot see this screen please CLICK HERE to go directly to the download page

PLEASE NOTE : A download screen will appear on your machine. Depending on which browser you operate ie Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari; the download screen will appear differently. You must confirm the download by double clicking on the ‘download icon’ when you see this appear on your machine
Once you have confirmed your download the setup screen shown in the figure below will appear and commence the downloading process automatically. When the download in complete the button to click Next will become available for you to click on and proceed. Click the Next button and proceed.
Wait for the download process to complete and click Next when the button becomes available
(4) Install Evernote
You will see the screen below open upon pressing the Next button (as demonstrated on the previous page. To complete the installation simply click the Finish button and you’re done. A desktop icon will appear as shown on the next page. This will allow you to launch the Evernote application
Click Finish

You are now able to launch the Evernote application on your machine. Simply minimize any open screens to view your desktop then click on the launch Evernote incon application.

Make sure the Already have an account tab is checked Enter your username / business name or email address and password to access Evernote.
If you do not see a username and password field as show here please ensure that you are looking at the ‘Already have an account screen as shown in the Fig 1A
