How To Save An Egg
On 18
th
of August 2014 we implemented our “How to Save an
Egg” design. We started by dropping the egg at 1 metre and
increased it to 4 metres
My egg saving design consisted of wool netting, (to decrease
the entry velocity of the egg into my design) paper springs
and plastic bags (for the backup if the egg slips thru the net)
Below is a table of how long may egg survived

We had a chance to observe ach others design all of our
classmates designs as they were dropped; from this
observation I can see the following things as being crucial in
producing a good design:
1. A good design size
2. Somewhat bouncy and soft surfaces
3. Very tight spaces (if the egg is inside a box when
dropped)
4. A decent backup (in case the main plan fails)
