Service overview
HP Predictive Wireless Site Survey is performed remotely using radio frequency (RF) planning software tools that display projected wireless coverage of wireless access points (APs) within buildings. This evaluation highlights the areas that need to be supported by the wireless local area network (WLAN) and determines the proper placement of necessary wireless APs. This wireless site survey uses Customer-supplied floor plan drawings (preferably in AutoCAD) and site-specific information related to the intended use of the WLAN, building construction materials, location of obstacles, and location of wiring closets that can affect a WLAN propagation and performance. In the results of the wireless site survey, HP will provide the suggested quantity, placement, and associated wireless coverage areas of IEEE 802.11a/g/n wireless APs. In addition, HP will provide a representative HP networking bill of materials (BOM).

The HP Predictive Wireless Site Survey without Customer-supplied AutoCAD drawings is sold and delivered in increments that include up to three floors and up to 60,000 square feet or 18,288 square meters. Note: In lieu of AutoCAD drawings, the Customer will need to provide HP with alternative digital floor plan drawings (in .jpg, .pdf, or .tiff format). In cases where no AutoCAD drawings are supplied by the Customer, an HP Network Technology Consultant will manually draw in the wall types and other building-specific information into the digital floor plans. The HP service specialist will work remotely with the Customer to: • Collect site-specific information related to the intended use of the wireless network, building construction materials, location of obstacles, and location of wiring closets • Compile and analyze data to identify potential issues with implementing the wireless network

Service features (continued) Predictive Wireless Site Survey To provide the HP Predictive Wireless Site Survey, the HP service specialist will: Remote Delivery • Load the Customer-supplied AutoCAD or other digitally formatted floor plan drawings into the RF planning software tool • Conduct the HP Predictive Wireless Site Survey using RF planning software to provide the proper location and wireless coverage of the wireless APs Report and Recommendations Following the site survey, HP will provide the Customer with a site survey report detailing: • The suggested quantity, placement, and associated coverage areas of 802.11a/g/n wireless APs; in addition, HP will provide a representative HP networking BOM • A representative BOM indicating the HP networking WLAN equipment required to accommodate the coverage area surveyed

Coverage
• The HP Predictive Wireless Site Survey—with or without Customer-supplied AutoCAD or other digitally formatted floor plan drawings—is sold and delivered in increments that include up to three floors, and up to 60,000 square feet or 18,288 square meters can be purchased. • If the Customer requires additional survey coverage area, additional quantities can be ordered.
Prerequisites
• The Customer will need to provide HP with AutoCAD and/or other digitally formatted floor plan drawings that are accurate and well labeled with dimensions included in feet or meters.
Customer responsibilities
• Contact an HP service specialist within 30 days of date of purchase to schedule the delivery of the service • Assign a designated person from the Customer’s staff who, on behalf of the Customer, will grant all approvals, provide information, and otherwise be available to assist HP in facilitating the delivery of this service • Ensure that all service prerequisites identified during the ‘Service planning’ activity have been met • Ensure that all service prerequisites as identified in the ‘Service eligibility’ section have been met • Perform other reasonable activities to help HP identify or resolve problems, as requested by HP • Provide all information necessary for HP to deliver timely and professional remote support and to enable HP to determine the level of support eligibility In cases where the Customer does not act upon the Customer responsibilities as stated below, HP or an HP authorized service provider will not be obligated to deliver the services as described.
Service limitations
Any services not clearly specified in this document or in an associated Statement of Work are excluded from this service.

Service eligibility
Customers are eligible for the delivery of this service if they meet the following prerequisite: • The Customer’s network must be fully operational and accessible to HP before service can begin
General provisions/Other exclusions
Activities such as, but not limited to, the following are excluded from this service: • HP’s ability to deliver this service is dependent upon the Customer’s full and timely cooperation with HP, as well as the accuracy and completeness of any information and data the Customer provides to HP. • HP reserves the right to charge, on a time and materials basis, for any additional work over and above the service package pricing that may result from work required to address service prerequisites or other requirements that are not met by the Customer. • The service is delivered as a single, contiguous event. Environments that require multiple engagements over a longer period of time are not included with this service and are available at additional cost. • Any services not clearly specified in this document • HP reserves the right to re-price this service if the Customer does not schedule and provide for subsequent delivery within 90 days of purchase. • Services must be utilized and redeemed against defined service activities within 120 days from the date of purchase. Service hours will expire at the end of 120 days from the date of purchase if not used.
