If the Foundations Be Destroyed...

INTRODUCTION
“………when he appointed the foundations of the earth” (Prv. 8:29)
“……..and the foundations of the earth do shake” (Is. 24:18)
Everything in this life has a foundation – the base on which it stands. The Bible made
us to understand that even the earth has a foundation. God did not create the earth on
nothing; He took time to create it on a foundation. Anything that does not have a
foundation cannot stand and any thing standing on a destroyed foundation is bound to
fall. Before any thing is started the foundation must be in !lace and the fact is that it
must not "ust be an ordinary foundation. #t must be the one that will be able to carry it.
The foundation is the first thing to be considered before any !ro"ect is started. That is
why we have to !ay a careful attention to the condition of our foundation.
#n Psa! 11:" a very critical $uestion is brought before us. “If the foundations
#e destro$ed% what &an the ri'hteous do”( This shows that the Bible recogni%es the
significance of foundation. The !roblems in the lives of many !eo!le are as a result of a
destroyed foundation. &everal attacks troubles and mani!ulations of darkness can be
attributed to it. A destroyed foundation o!ens doorways for demons to attack an
individual and if this !roblem is not checked they would sto! at nothing to frustrate the
!erson. The truth is that we are born into an already laid foundation and as we continue
to grow we are also laying the foundation of our lives on the one already laid.
'estroyed foundation would only !roduce a destroyed life if it is allowed to continue.
The foundation # am referring to is not that of a building or a non living ob"ect but that
of your life. &o many !eo!le are born into a destroyed foundation and as a result of this
they are suffering from what they cannot e(!lain. )oundational !roblems are so terrible
that you will be suffering from a !articular !roblem and you might not be able to
accurately relate it to those around you. *ou would know that you have a !roblem but
you would not even know where to start from in e(!laining it. These !roblems usually
have a stronghold on the individual. +nless there is a divine intervention their ca!tives
would remain in !er!etual bondage. The reason why many buildings colla!se these
days is as a result of a destroyed foundation. ,nce the foundation is destroyed the
house has no other choice than to colla!se. The foundation of your life is su!!osed to
serve as a su!!ort on which every other thing can be built. ,ne cannot stand on a
destroyed foundation and e(!ect to make !rogress in life. #n fact the $uestion you
should ask yourself is -what kind of foundation was # born into./ -was # born into a
sure foundation or a destroyed foundation./ -how has my foundation contributed to
my success or failure./
Take time to e(amine it. #t is good you deal with your !roblem from the root. ,ne
!ainful as!ect of an inherited foundation is that anyone born into it automatically
inherits it. #t is not a matter of choice. That is why you must be determined to esca!e
from every evil foundation. These foundational !roblems could be in the form of a
family or generational curse. 'o not allow any !ower that hindered your fathers to
hinder you. *ou can decide to change the history of your family for good. The Bible
says in Is. )8:12 “……thou shat raise up the foundations of !an$ 'enerations……”
God has !romised you that no matter how bad your foundation is He can still use you
to raise it u! to that which He wants it to be.
CHAPTER ONE
THE AGONY OF A DESTROYED FOUNDATION
The e(treme suffering that trails the life of one with a destroyed foundation cannot be
fully e(hausted in this book. # was born into a family with a destroyed foundation which
resulted in series of !roblems in my life. &ome of the things # !assed through are too
dee! that # may not be able to discuss them in detail. As a child the ma"or !roblem #
battled with was sickness. # was always falling terribly sick. # did not understand the
de!th of !roblem # was into until # became born again. After # became saved God
began to o!en my eyes to so many things 0 things # used to see as normal. #t was at this
!oint that # fully understood the kind of foundation # had. #t was indeed very bad. #
found myself being seriously tormented in the dream. #t got to the !oint that # became
even afraid to slee! because # knew that # would definitely be attacked. There was a
very horrible e(!erience # had. As # was slee!ing all of a sudden # noticed that # was
being !ressed down by an unseen force. The ne(t thing # reali%ed was that # began to
wrestle with the being. The skin of that !articular demon was such that the more you
touch it the more it -melts/. #n another instance as soon as # noticed the !resence of the
demon # struggled to shout the name of 1esus. # realised that my tongue was twisted
and # began to mutter things # could not understand. 2y life was so miserable that if #
attended any 3hristian !rogram or crusade instead of leaving there very ha!!y my
story would always be different. 4hile others are re"oicing for what God has done in
their lives # would be feeling very sad about by myself. # was almost always in a very
moody state. # could not easily relate with !eo!le. God made me to understand that the
attack by those demons was for two ma"or reasons. The first reason being that those
attacks was intended to su!!ress one5s destiny. There is no way one who is constantly
being !ressed down by these demons would make a significant headway in life. The
destiny of every genuine child of God is very bright and these foundational !owers
would always attem!t to alter it. The second reason for the attack is to molest their
ca!tives. To molest means to harass or assault somebody se(ually. The demon comes to
forcefully have se( with their victims. # was always crying out to God for deliverance
and several times He made me to understand that there would be deliverance both for
me and my family members. &o many mysterious things ke!t on ha!!ening in my life.
)oundational demons have no other mission than to frustrate the life of anyone that
turns his back on them. The only way they would not o!enly torment their victim is if
the !erson decides to dance to their tune by choosing to remain in the bondage.
A destroyed foundation can lead to a life of struggle. Things others get without
much stress would cause you so many struggles and sometimes even after all the
struggles; you will have little or nothing to show for it. #t would be as if you are
labouring and others are eating – a life of working like an ele!hant and eating like an
ant. The s!irits of waste at work would always come to devour the little one has. ,ne
would fail where others succeed. The business that favours others would disfavour the
!erson. #n my own case at first my life was filled with so many struggles with little
results. This went a long way in affecting my ministry. # could hardly do anything
without being fiercely o!!osed by these forces. # was struggling to live. ,n different
occasions # was battling between life and death. # saw myself in the land of the dead.
The s!irit of death tormented my life ceaselessly but God gave me victory over them.
There were several assassination attem!ts in the dream. The truth is that if my life were
in the hands of the devil he would have succeeded in killing me a long time ago. 2y
life was constantly being threatened with attacks and sicknesses. The worst !art of it
was that nobody could offer me a lasting solution. #t seemed as if # was on my own.
The struggle also e(tended to my finances. # hardly had enough money to satisfy my
needs. A destroyed foundation can lead to a life of borrowing and indebtedness. ,ne
would always borrow and find it difficult to !ay back. # also discovered that those who
had the mind to hel! out did not have enough money to give while those who had
enough money did not have the mind to give. #n my s!iritual life it was a matter of
rising and falling. After much -vibrating/ and !rayer it would be as if cold water was
!oured over my life and the fervency would suddenly die off.
A destroyed foundation can also lead to a destroyed testimony. This can make one5s
testimony to be short0lived. Every good news would always be followed by a
corres!onding bad news. They would try their best to add sorrow to every received
good news. However it is the will of God that your "oy is full and that no sorrow
accom!anies His blessings. Anyone e(!eriencing this !ainful occurrence should cry out
to God for deliverance. There is a family # know that received the news of the death of
their daughter the same !eriod they were celebrating the traditional marriage of one of
their daughters. This is nothing but a !ure mani!ulation of foundational !owers. These
!owers are so cruel that they can drive away one5s hel!ers and make them blind or
ignorant to one5s !roblem. #t could even get to the !oint of se!arating you from your
hel!ers. The bridge that links you to your hel!ers would be suddenly destroyed. There
was a time the &!irit of God led me to !ray that every destroyed bridge that linked me
to my hel!ers should be re!aired. 4hen this ha!!ens no matter how hard you try to
convince them 6your hel!ers7 to hel! you out of a !articular !roblem you would never
receive the full attention you deserve. There are so many cases of !eo!le who were very
ambitious as a child but they ended u! being insignificant in the society. There are
those whose lives follow the same !attern of their fathers; they "ust cannot rise above
the same level reached by their fathers. #f their fathers5 education ended at secondary
school level theirs too terminated at that !oint. 8o matter the attem!t they !ut in
getting admission into the +niversity there would be no admission offered to them
because of these foundational !owers at work. Even if they eventually gain admission
it is either there would be insufficient money for their academic !ursuit or they come
out with a very !oor result. &ome even end u! losing their lives in the +niversity. This
is a very lamentable situation. Before # could receive my total deliverance it took me
almost my life. # almost died in the deliverance !rocess. The s!irits battling against my
destiny vowed that no one from my family would receive freedom from their gri! and
anyone who attains the height of deliverance would surely !ay dearly for it. 2any
months !assed by and # saw myself "ourneying in the land of the dead. #n fact # dinned
with death. # felt death all around me but God did not allow it to take me away. 2y
adversaries !reyed u!on my life. # would even say that # was swallowed u! by death
but at the a!!ointed time of God He commanded death to vomit me. 2y case was
really ho!eless but God came to my rescue. ,ne lesson # have learnt is that it is easier
to 'et into #onda'e than to #e deivered fro! it. 'eliverance from foundational !owers
is not an easy task and the demand is such that many will not be able to meet u! with
but for God5s mercy and grace. This is because the forces that kee! one bound are very
determined not to let go. #t would only take a divine intervention for one to be totally
free from their mani!ulations. The forces fighting against one5s !arents resist any child
born into that family. *our !arents5 enemies automatically become your enemies.
These !owers would !lace the same embargo they !laced u!on your !arents on you so
that your life will follow the same !attern as that of your !arents. #nitially my thought
was that once one becomes born again the !roblems and attack becomes over but my
e(!erience in this 3hristian race !roved me wrong. # got to understand that being born
again only em!owers you to challenge and resist those !owers. The devil is a cruel
being. He would always want to im!ose his will on his ca!tives and force them to go
the way they do not wish to go. The battle was so intense that # hardly used any brand
new thing. #t would almost always be things that somebody has already used. The devil
resisted any new thing that ha!!ened in my life. God made me to understand that these
strange !owers wanted me to serve them. There was a dream # had some years back. #n
that dream # was taken to a shrine with red cloth tied around the !lace. The scene really
looked scary. 4hile # was there # had a voice that told me that the shrine was where #
would get the gift of !ro!hecy. # am the kind of !erson that would give everything
within me to any !ower # want to serve. That is why the devil is angry that all of a
sudden # made u! my mind to serve God. He has been trying in different ways to resist
me but God has always been faithful to deliver me. These foundational !owers
s!eciali%e in making one5s life follow a !articular mani!ulated !attern. ,ne kee!s on
moving round and round the same s!ot thinking that one is making !rogress but ends u!
achieving nothing. &ome of the mani!ulations # suffered from include flying in the
dream eating in the dream cob webs falling on my body while # walk unnecessary
weakness evil marks on my body strongman o!!osition ancestral gods o!!ression
-!ressing down/ seduction in the dream bathing 6in the o!en7 in the dream re!eated
state of confusion s!iritual limitation marine mani!ulation unnecessary coughing evil
garment of darkness rising and falling and many other terrible e(!eriences. The list is
endless. &ome of these things are too dee! and mysterious that # might find it difficult
to e(!lain them in the e(act way they ha!!ened. The cobweb mani!ulation began after
a terrible attack # had in the dream which resulted in a severe illness. There are several
!eo!le all over the world that are suffering terribly and they do not understand where
their !roblem is coming from. 2any families became cursed as a result of transgressing
God5s law. There are blessings for obedience and there are curses for disobedience to
God. &ome of these curses e(tend to many generation in that family unless the yoke is
broken.
*% +nd the ,-./ passed #$ #efore hi!% and pro&ai!ed% 0he ,-./% 0he ,-./
1od% !er&ifu and 'ra&ious% on'sufferin'% and a#undant in 'oodness and truth%
2% 3eepin' !er&$ for thousands% for'ivin' ini4uit$ and trans'ression and sin% and
that wi #$ no !eans &ear the 'uit$5 visitin' the ini4uit$ of the fathers upon the
&hidren% and upon the &hidren6s &hidren% unto the third and to the fourth
'eneration. (78. "4:*% 2)
God !romised to deal with the guilty even to the third and fourth generation. This is one
of the reasons many are suffering from the sins of their fathers. The curses !laced on the
family are still o!erational because they have not been broken. There are also some
families that are suffering from the curse6s7 !laced u!on them by their fellow human
beings as a result of the evil they committed 62ore about this in !art ##7. Those families
are terribly suffering because there was a cause for which the curse was !laced u!on
them. 9euben was cursed by his father in Gen :;<: because he sle!t with his father5s
concubine. As a result of this curse he lost his birthright to 1ose!h. He did not e(cel in
the things of this life. The conse$uence of this curse could also be traced in the lives of
his descendants. 4hen the #srealites !revailed over the city of 1ericho 1oshua !laced a
curse on anyone that would rise and rebuild it.
“+nd 9oshua ad:ured the! at that ti!e% sa$in'% ;ursed #e the !an #efore the ,-./%
that riseth up and #uideth this &it$ 9eri&ho: he sha a$ the foundation thereof in his
first#orn% and in his $oun'est son sha he set up the 'ates of it.” (9oshua *:2*). This
!articular curse was fulfilled when Hiel the Beth0elite built 1erico. He laid the
foundation with the loss of Abiram his firstborn and the gates were set with the loss his
youngest son &egub (13's. 1*:"4). 3urses indeed are very !owerful and that is the
more reason why they should be broken.
CHAPTER TWO
FAMILY FOUNDATION
“-ne 'eneration passeth awa$ and another 'eneration &o!eth #ut the earth a#ideth
forever.” (7&&. 1:4)
#n fact when you talk of a family it is something that God alone can fully e(!lain. #t is
God that can tell the origin !eo!le and every other thing we need to know about any
family but the fact still remains that every family can be traced to one !erson Adam –
the first man created by God from whom the families on earth came into e(istence.
)rom that time till now different generations have come and gone and the families on
earth are multi!lying on a daily basis. A grou! of families make u! a community; a
community gives you a society. #t continues on and on until a !articular family would
have resulted in a community and the chain continues to e(!and 6#f the generation is not
abru!tly terminated.7 Before # go into the details # would like to give a very sim!le
meaning of the word family. A family is a grou! of !eo!le from the same !arent6s7. 4e
have immediate 68uclear7 and e(tended family. #mmediate family consists of a father
mother and child 6ren7. E(tended family is a combination of the immediate family and
other relations.
Every family on the surface of the earth has a foundation. The foundation is
automatically inherited by every child born into the family. The reason why many
!eo!le are terribly suffering is because they were born into a family with a destroyed
foundation. #f you do not have sufficient knowledge about your family then # suggest
that you ask $uestions about it. 9o# 8:8 says “for in4uire% I pra$ thee the for!er
a'e….” &ome of our forefathers forcefully took !ossession of other !eo!les land
because it was in their !ower to do so. There were those that engaged in slave trade.
They sold innocent !eo!le 6even their children7 away "ust because of material benefits.
,ur forefathers served idols. There are some !eo!le that the altars built by their
forefathers are still standing now. =ossibly the !resent members of the family regard it
as a treasure that should not be removed. #f the altar is not !rayerfully destroyed it
would kee! on hindering the success of the family. 2any innocent !eo!le were
slaughtered while some were buried alive. There were cases of !regnant women who
were also buried alive. &ome of our forefathers dedicated the unborn generation to some
strange gods. Those that crucified 1esus vowed that His blood should be u!on them and
their children 62att. >?<@7. This could also be likened to the vows that some of our
ancestors made. The bloods of the innocent !eo!le they killed are still crying out
against such families. The fact is that the greatest !roblem to deal with is foundational
!roblem. This is because those !owers have some -grounds/ or -rights/ in the family.
They would have to be forcefully resisted before they can give way. &ome families
have monitoring s!irits released to track every member of the family. These s!irits have
their way of identifying the members of the family may be through some evil marks on
the bodies of their ca!tives or through the use of monitoring devices like mirrors sun
moon and stars. These things may sound mysterious but they are true. &ome of these
evil marks may not be visible to the !hysical eyes at first but as !rayers are continually
made they would become very clear. 1ust as the children of God have the marks of our
Aord 1esus 3hrist on their bodies the devil also gives his ca!tives marks of
identification so that they can be easily located. 4hen 3ain killed Abel we were made
to understand that Abel5s blood was crying out to God from the ground. The cry was
that of vengeance. As a result of this cry 3ain became cursed from the earth. 4e can
deduce from this incidence that for every innocent blood that is shed there is a cry that
goes out to God for vengeance. Even the blood of the saints that were killed for the sake
of the word of God and the testimony they held are still crying out to God for
vengeance. “+nd the$ &ried with a oud voi&e% sa$in'% <ow on'% - ,ord% ho$ and
true% dost thou not :ud'e and aven'e our #ood on the! that dwe on the earth.”
(.ev. *:1=). #f your fathers shed innocent blood and the curse as a result of that act has
not been broken you need to cry out to God for deliverance. #t is a serious issue. Any
!roblem that is common to your !arents siblings and other relations is a sure sign of a
foundational !roblem. #f you still doubt whether foundational !roblems are real why
should every human being on earth automatically inherit the Adamic nature 6sinful
nature7 at birth due to the disobedience of Adam. #nitially man was created in the
image and likeness of God but owing to the fall of man this glory was lost. The bible
says that “for a have sinned and &o!e short of the 'or$ of 1od” (.o!. ":2"). God
had to drive them out of the Garden of Eden. They lost the glory of God and they also
began to bear seeds after their own likeness and image. 'eath and sin entered the world
as a result of the sin of one man. This is also the same way the members of a !articular
family can suffer the conse$uences of the sins committed by their forefathers. The
conse$uences could be untimely death barrenness !overty slavery o!!ression
re!eated chronic sickness setbacks wastes disfavour in marriage attacks and so on.
There are also some families that are being restricted by their names. &ome of these
names are dedicated to idols and market days. There are some e(am!les of those whose
names were changed as a result of the evil conse$uences attached to them. ,ne of such
e(am!les is that of 1acob whose name was changed to #srael 62ore on this in 3ha!ter
five7. ,ne who is not covered with the glory of God is s!iritually naked and would
suffer many things from the hands of his enemies. #t is advisable that we bear names
that glorify God because He would always defend His name. #n some families the
foundational !owers fighting against them resist every form of light from shinning in
the family. 4e all know that light signifies good thing. #n the !hysical no normal
!erson would like to dwell in darkness. These demons fight against good things like
material !ossessions finances marriages and fruitfulness. They do not want any good
thing to ha!!en in the family. The lives of those living in this condition will be filled
with struggles frustration and disa!!ointments. To every child of God light is good
and it signifies salvation and deliverance. #f in your family there is no one that is
genuinely saved you would have to call u!on the name of the Aord to send His light
into the family. The truth is that if anyone in a !articular family becomes saved he
serves as an opener to other members of the family. The salvation you received is for
you and your household. There are many instances in the scri!tures to back u! this
!oint. =aul told the 1ailer in +&ts 1*:"1% “.........#eieve in the ,ord 9esus ;hrist% and
thou shat #e saved% and th$ house.” 'o not allow the light of God to be restricted in
your family. Aet it shine. # have good news for you. 8o matter the foundational !owers
fighting against you God is able to deliver you from them all. 9eceive your deliverance
in 1esus name 6Amen7.
