Independent learning activities
Each week you should be developing your knowledge of Media Studies and your skills of independent learning. Below are some ideas for activities
and extension tasks that you can do. Remember to record your work, where possible, on your personal Weebly.

Visit the Ted Talks website and search under ‘Media’. Here you
will find videos, articles and talks. Broaden your knowledge of the
key debates in the subject by watching some videos and reflecting
on them on your Weebly.

Read the Media Guardian for the
latest developments in the Media
world. Post a review of an article
on your Weebly.

Read Wired or Media Magazine (both in
the library). Find an article that interests you
and post a review on your Weebly.
Review your class notes from the previous lesson.
