Iodine Protects You From Cell (Mobile) Phone Radiation
By admin

Almost everybody, young and old alike are carrying Cell
(Mobile) phones these days. In fact, by the end of 2014, there
was said to be around 7 Billion cell phones in use. More than
the population of the entire planet!
Of course, this technology is an incredible thing and has no
doubt helped us become more efficient. Unfortunately, there
are some downsides to using a mobile phone.
You see, these phones emit an electromagnetic field (EMF),
which is believed by many scientists to have a harmful effect
on your health. This is a serious concern as this type of
radiation damages DNA and interferes with DNA repair
mechanisms.
When our DNA is compromised in this way, it can lead to DNA mutations which may develop into cancer.
So it will come as no surprise that if you spend a lot of time with your phone to your ear, you will have an
increased risk of developing a brain tumor. This is not a scare story, the risks are real.
Radiation is cumulative, which means that the longer and more often you use your mobile device the greater your
chances are of developing cancer.
If you are a male you will also want to consider how you use and carry your phone. A number of studies have
shown that men who carry their phones in their front pockets or on their belt were up to 19% more likely to have
fewer mobile sperm and an overall reduction in sperm quality. 1
It is also thought that carry a phone in this way may also result in lower bone mass density and a loss of bone
mineralization in our hip bones.
Women should also avoid carrying their phones near their breasts as this could result in DNA damage leading to
breast cancer.
It’s well understood that more radiation is emitted when a phone is connecting. The signals that are emitted also
become stronger the further away you are from the receiving base station. So the poorer the signal, the more
EMF signals are emitted and the greater the absorption by your body.
Even when your phone is idle and not in use by yourself, it is still emitting EMF signals as it will be constantly
polling the nearest base station.
It’s fair to say that the cell phone industry has gone to great lengths to dispel the idea that these phones have any
form of health risks associated with them. After all, it is a trillion dollar business so the mobile phone companies
are hardly going to tell you otherwise are they?
In 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) actually categorized radio-frequency
electromagnetic radiation as “possibly carcinogenic to humans ” with an increased risk of various forms of brain
cancer. 2
I think we would all agree that mobile technology usage is only going to grow. As more people ditch their landlines
for unlimited mobile phone plans, we will most definitely need to become smarter when using our ‘smart’ phones.
Let’s take a look at how we can reduce our exposure to radiation.

How To Reduce Radiation Exposure
If you’re concerned about the effects of radiation and want to learn how you can reduce your exposure, read on.
Like anything else, it will take a shift in your awareness of how you are using your phone, making a few simple
changes along the way.
Firstly, instead of using the phone to your head, try using your earphones or speaker-phone instead. If your
vehicle has blue-tooth hands-free connectivity, you may also set this up to reduce your exposure. This will
not only reduce exposure, but also help prevent any accidents which are commonly associated with using
a phone whilst driving.
Do you really need to make a call? On many occasions you may not even need to make a call. Why not
send a text message instead if you only need to be brief.
When you have to use your phone, make sure the signal strength is strong. As mentioned previously, if the
signal is weak, your phone will emit more power in order to try and find an available base station.
Do you use your phone as an alarm clock? Many of us do. If you do need to, try leaving the phone away
from your bedside and place it further across the bedroom. Better still, invest some money in an alarm
clock.
Check the SAR rating on your phone. Every phone has a SAR or (Specific Absorption Rate) number
associated with it. The SAR determines the rate in which the body absorbs the radio-frequency signals for
that particular device. So the higher the SAR number the more dangerous your phone is to your health. 3
Don’t let your children play with your phone. A young child’s skull is not fully developed meaning that they are far
more at risk from the effects of radiation. Instead, why not give them a toy phone to play with?

Iodine Protects You From Radiation And May Repair Existing Damage
Luckily it doesn’t end there. There is one super mineral that you can consume, which not only protects you from
radiation, but may also help rid your body of the cumulative effects of radiation.
That mineral is Iodine and the good news is that Iodine is present in many foods that are widely available in your
local supermarket.
Foods such as cod, shrimp, lobster, tuna, baked potatoes, strawberries and bananas contain good amounts of
iodine. But there are three foods that really outshine the rest when it comes to boosting your levels of this most
vital of micro-nutrients.
1. Just an ounce of fresh cranberries will provide you with around 100 mcg of iodine. Another great benefit of
eating cranberries is that they are also a good source of vitamin C and K.
2. Another excellent source of iodine is Himalayan Crystal
Salt. Just a half gram will give you 250 mcg or 150% of your
daily recommended quota of iodine. It is a lot healthier than
your average table salt so why not try it as an alternative?
3. If you want a really big boost of Iodine, for example if you
are Iodine deficient, you may want to try Dried Seaweed.
Containing approximately 4,500 mcg of Iodine per quarter of
an ounce, making Dried Seaweed the clear winner when it
comes to boosting our Iodine levels.
But what if you have been using a cell phone for many years?
Well, by using the tips above and by eating more Iodine rich
foods, you will not only prevent further damage, but may also help repair any that has already taken place.
