The fragmentation of android is real & problematic for Android Application Development, mobile operators, device manufacturer and Google itself. There are over 3,000 possible combinations between different devices running android platform. Main threat now lies in front of Google Android is fragmentation, It is one of the biggest criticism as sources said it has become far too fragmented, making it difficult for the android application developers to write apps that work consistently across the system a company named Ecosystem has a new research report that demonstrate how fragmented is android according to ecosystem there are still eight different version of android in circulation and still maximum users are running older version it can be understood as android is an open source operating system, so now the main concern is diverging variants of android platform. This has started creating a major headache for the Android App Developers because of various issues with android fragmentation i.e. they have to test the app on almost all the devices powering up with Android. Android app development India experts say that there is a huge task when it comes to testing the app. Most android application developers are forced to spend time unproductively creating app to run old version instead of moving forward with the development for new android versions.
