STEELCASE IT

Asset Management Specialist

Candidatul ideal:
Mission:
- Maintain the inventory of installed hardware and software items
- Ensure accuracy of assets technical data: its hardware configuration and details of the installed
software
- Ensure accuracy of ownership data: to whom it is assigned (department, cost center), where it is
currently located (site and country)
- Ensure accuracy of assets financial data: information such as the unit's acquisition date, the
leasing contract number and warranty details
- Provide reporting based on Steelcase assets management systems
- Ensure that all hardware and software assets of Steelcase are controlled and that only authorized
versions of are in live use (Steelcase’s software and hardware compliancy)
- Link to suppliers for fulfillment of orders
- Purchase orders management (preparation, delivery to supplier, reception of goods and followup)
- Management of mobile phone fleet
Geographical scope:
- While getting started, the geographical scope of users and supported information systems will be
mainly North America (NA) region
Technical scope:
- Any end-user workplace device
- Any software running on the end-user workplace
- Any software running on a web-based or client-server mode
- Any network infrastructure component
- Any datacenter infrastructure component delivering application-related services and/ or technical
services

- 1-2 years degree in economics (School leaving certificate +2), 1-2 years’ work experience
appreciated
- Customer-oriented skills (ability to listen), sense of service, good interpersonal skills with
internal and external customers
- Analytical skills (Ability to analyze and synthesize), capacity for teamwork (team spirit),

manages time and workload effectively
- English - advanced level, French or German is an advantage

Thomson Configuration Specialist
We are looking for people who are passionate about delivering an excellent service. You
will be self-motivated and want to help others through delivering an efficient, quality-led

You will be closely working with our product Darwin™, a cloud-based global benefits

You will need to be able to demonstrate the following Key Attributes:
•Graduate caliber or more than one year experience in configuration or in an IT or
technology related role
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Would be a plus:
•Academic background in an IT or Business Systems related subject, or a

Role Outline
The Configuration Specialist is responsible for implementing Darwin by configuring it to
meet Client requirements. The platform is an online hosted solution and so
implementation is performed from the Thomsons offices in London and Cluj.
The CS also performs testing of configured functionality and then helps support post
launch work for Clients.
Responsibilities:
•Configure Darwin functionality and configure simple-medium complex benefits including
configuration testing;
•Set up standard reports in Darwin;
•Perform simple interface manipulation and other simple-medium tasks as defined by the
Project Lead;
•Upload data into Darwin as supplied by the Client;
•Support testing through bug resolution and fixing;
•Demonstrate an understanding of the basic concepts of benefits and how these are
implemented on Darwin, end-end benefit administration processes and interfacing on
Darwin.
•Work every day in an Agile Environment, due to internal processes of Solutions Delivery

Offer administrative support to the Customer Support Center Cluj Group in Cluj and to its
stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare start of new employees (order IT hardware & software, office supplies and desk phones,
request access to servers, etc.)
• Manage desk need for new employees and keep overview up to date.
• Manage office supplies for the group and health and safety records.
