Juniper Networks Technical Certification offers multi-tiered certification tracks in all areas of competence with Juniper Networks technology. Juniper certification ensures and documents thorough understanding of Internet and security technologies, and configuration and troubleshooting skills specific to Juniper platforms. Separate tracks let participants focus on the platform types most pertinent to their job functions and experience.

Service Description
Juniper Networks® Technical Certification offers more than recognition of exceptional technical competence. Professional and Expert level technicians receive direct access to Juniper Technical Assistance Center (JTAC) engineers on priority 1 and 2 cases for any product covered by an active support contract. This privilege speeds case resolution by combining onsite expertise with the capabilities and resources of senior JTAC engineers. Organizations that hire and train Juniper-certified technicians position themselves for rapid incident response and thorough resolution to maintain the highest levels of availability and business value from their network infrastructure.

Introduction to Junos OS Track
Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA-JUNOS)
This Juniper Networks Junos® Operating System Associate exam is designed for experienced networking professionals with beginner-intermediate knowledge of the Junos operating system, networking fundamentals and basic internet routing. JNCIA-JUNOS exam topics are based on the content of the Introduction to Junos OS, Junos OS Routing Essentials, and Troubleshooting Junos OS Platforms instructor-led training course, as well as the Networking Fundamentals eLearning course. NOTE: The JNCIA-JUNOS is a required prerequisite for the JNCIS-SEC certification. The following certifications are acceptable substitutes for the JNCIA-JUNOS requirement: JNCIA-ER or JNCIA-M.

M Series and T Series Certification Track
Through a combination of written proficiency exams and hands-on configuration and debugging exams, the Juniper Networks M Series Multiservice Edge Routers and T Series Core Routers certification track allows successful candidates to demonstrate a thorough understanding of Internet technology, M Series, T Series routers, and Junos OS.

Designed for experienced networking professionals with beginning to intermediate knowledge of the M Series and T Series routers and of Junos OS, this written exam verifies your basic understanding of Internet technology and related platform configuration and troubleshooting skills. JNCIA-M exam topics are based on the content of the Configuring Juniper Networks Routers instructor-led training course. This exam is not a prerequisite for the Specialist (JNCIS-M) exam.

E Series Certification Track
The Juniper Networks Technical Certification Program E Series certification track allows successful candidates to demonstrate a thorough understanding of Internet technology in general and Juniper Networks E Series Broadband Services Routers in particular.

Passing the JNCIS-M exam is a prerequisite for attempting the JNCIP-M practical exam.

Juniper Networks Technical Certification Program E Series Routers Track

Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA-E)
Designed for experienced networking professionals with beginning to intermediate knowledge of the E Series routers and Juniper Networks Junose™ Software, this written exam verifies your basic understanding of Internet technology and related platform configuration and troubleshooting skills. JNCIA-E exam topics are based on the content of the Introduction to Juniper Networks Routers – E Series and E Series Broadband Remote Access Server Configuration Basics instructor-led training courses. This exam is not a prerequisite for the JNCIS-E exam.

Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP-M)
The one-day JNCIP-M exam is the first practical exam in the M Series and T Series certification track. This test validates your ability to configure and troubleshoot common routing scenarios. Passing the JNCIP-M exam is a requirement for attempting the expert-level practical exam (JNCIE-M).

Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS-E)
The JNCIS-E is designed for networking professionals with advanced knowledge of E Series routers and Junose Software. Sources of question content include the E Series routers documentation set and on-the-job product experience, as well as the understanding of Internet technologies and design principles considered to be common knowledge at the Specialist level. Passing the JNCIS-E exam is a prerequisite for attempting the JNCIP-E practical exam.

Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE-M)
Maintaining the industry standard for technical excellence established by the Juniper Networks Technical Certification Program, the JNCIE-M certification provides you the opportunity to distinguish yourself among the elite of the networking world. During the JNCIE-M exam, candidates will troubleshoot preconfigured networks, and configure advanced networking technologies and scenarios. The JNCIE is the highest level of certification in the M Series and T Series track.

Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP-E)
The JNCIP-E is a one-day practical exam designed to validate your ability to successfully build an ISP consisting of multiple E Series virtual routers. This certification confirms your practical and theoretical knowledge of basic and advanced Internet technologies as well as your ability to effectively apply that knowledge in a hands-on environment.

Enterprise Routing Certification Track
The Enterprise Routing certification track has courseware and certifications designed for experienced network professionals with beginning to advanced knowledge of Juniper Networks Enterprise Routing.

NOTE: The JNCIA-JUNOS is a required prerequisite for the JNCIS-SEC certification. The following certifications are acceptable substitutes for the JNCIA-JUNOS requirement: JNCIA-ER or JNCIA-M.

Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA-FW)
Designed for experienced networking professionals with beginning to intermediate knowledge of the Juniper firewall/ VPN products and the ScreenOS, this written exam verifies your basic understanding of Internet and security technology and related device configuration. JNCIA-FW exam topics are based on the content of the Configuring Juniper Networks Firewall/IPsec VPN Products instructor-led training course. This exam is not a prerequisite for the JNCIS-FW certification.

Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE-ER)
The JNCIE-ER is designed to validate the networking professionals’ ability to configure and troubleshoot the features of the Juniper Networks J Series Services Routers. This includes the service features such as IPsec, NAT, GRE in addition to the routing protocols BGP, OSPF and RIP. The candidate will have expert knowledge of the Junos OS CLI. Passing the JNCIS-ER exam is a requirement for attempting the JNCIE-ER practical exam.

Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS-FW)
The JNCIS-FW is designed for networking professionals with advanced knowledge of, and experience with, the Juniper Networks firewall/VPN products and ScreenOS. The JNCIS-FW exam tests for a wider and deeper level of knowledge than does the JNCIA-FW exam. Sources of questions include all ScreenOS training courses, the Firewall/VPN and ScreenOS documentation set, on-the-job product experience, as well Internet technologies and design principles considered to be common knowledge at the Specialist level.

SSL Certification Track
The JNTCP SSL certification track allows security professionals to demonstrate competence with Juniper Networks SA Series SSL VPN Appliances, which is based on the Instant Virtual Extranet (IVE) platform, and their deployment.

Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA-SSL)
The JNCIA-SSL exam is designed for experienced networking professionals with beginning to intermediate knowledge of the Juniper Networks SA Series SSL VPN Appliances and their deployment. JNCIA-SSL exam topics are based on the content of the Configuring Juniper Networks NetScreen 5000 Series Security Systems instructor-led training course.
