The Truss Inside Project Con-
sultant (IPC) role provides ba-
sic application engineering
designs, solution determina-
tion, estimating and quotes
for the truss bridge product
line, working directly with
Consulting Engineers,
City/County/ State Engineers,
& Contech’s Field Marketing
and Sales team in a given
geographic region. Establish-
es and maintains relationships
with key individuals within the
Engineering, Marketing/Sales
and Operations teams.
The IPC is responsible for
business development, prod-
uct training, pricing guidance
and securing orders while be-
ing accountable for lead to or-
der project management and
territory P&L performance.
Qualifications:
• B.S. in Engineering or Tech-
nical background preferred
but not required.
• Must have a high level of ex-
pertise, knowledge and expe-
rience with the product (Steel
Truss Bridges), including the
ability to handle the most
complicated situations that
may arise.
• Strong knowledge of the
construction industry usually
associated with at least 3
years of experience with the
specific product.
• Must have prior sales expe-
rience.
• Ability to work through and
communicate with others to
accomplish the objectives of
the Product line.
• Strong communication
skills. Able to present informa-
tion that is easily understood
by others.
• Strong training and coach-
ing skills to help others learn
and develop their knowledge
and skills of the product.
• Previous manufactured con-
struction product sales and
manufacturing experience
helpful.
• Ability to manage and inter-
act effectively with team
members in order to direct
work flow, assign duties and
complete tasks.
• Ability to work under stress,
interruptions and tight dead-
lines.
