Based on the positive response from our legal training workshops in 2013, Voice of the Children in collaboration with Paediatric Department, Raja Perempuan Bainun Hospital Ipoh, Perak is hosting the first 2014 legal training workshop on children in the legal system from 18-19 October! This interactive training session will be facilitated by Dr. Farah Nini Dusuki of the University Malaya, Faculty of Law and will focus on criminal law and the child justice system in Malaysia. Participants will gain a better understanding of children’s rights within the context of criminal law and how to handle cases in the best interest of the child. The training will include the following modules: Module One
Introduction to the Child and Youth Justice System

The International Instruments Relevant to Child and Youth Justice Administration and their Applicability in Malaysia Introduction to Diversion and Restorative Justice
Module Four Module Five
Arrest and Investigation Pre-Trial Disposal and Court Proceedings
